First Shrooms and hydration problem.

Hello,
although I'm big fan of this forum, this is my first post here, so hello everyone!

I ordered mushrooms growing kit. It looked like that when it came:

I know - mushrooms kits sucks. I don't know why, but I thought it's going to be nice and educational experience about mushrooms before my first real try at beginning of July. Well, if I wouldn't know how to operate water spray before I would say I've learned something, but unfortunately I knew. Back to topic.

I "filled" it up with water and left for 12 hrs, then drained it. First weird thing - it didn't absorb water. There was just a water layer on top of the kit. Well. I didn't want to touch it or anything, so I put filter bag over it and sprayed inside (trying not to spray on mycelium).

I has been a week already and it still doesn't absorb any water. There some standing water on the bottom of bag (I'll get rid off it today) and those small drops all over mycelium. Kit is standing on heating mat all the time, on top of wardrobe (good air circulation and some sun). Temperature in my flat is around 17-22 C.

I thought I failed, but today (day sixth) I've notice first small mushrooms growing. I'm still afraid, that this water situation will harm my little garden. Any thoughts? Maybe it's normal?

I searched forum and found some similar topic, but I don't think they answer my questions:

EDIT:
After further investigation - apparently "waterproof" growing kit is normal (amount of mycelium is the reason). I got rid off extensive water to prevent bacterias. There's still some small water drops on top of the kit, I should get rid off them as well by good ventilation, so now I just opened bag and letting it to dry by itself.

If you have any more tips for me - let me know.
