I suspect that they are both the same species, they were found about 100-200m apart though
Gotta say i had a lot fun hunting around, its a nice little adventure.


Species #1

Habitat: Found growing out of dead wood

Gills: Orangey-brown

Steam: Fibrous orangey-brown, no rings

Cap:Brown with a dark orange ring in the middle, fairly flat although it does slightly curve upwards around the edges. About 3cm across.

Spore Print: Brown

Location: Australia, Tasmania, Hobart Area








Species #2

Habitat: Found Growing out of dirt

Gills: Orangey-brown

Steam: Light orange

Cap: Dark brown edges with a dark orange patch in the middle, fairly flat however it does curve up in the middle, about 4cm across.

Spore Print: Brown

Location: Australia, Tasmania, Hobart Area.

Not sure what they are but definitely not Psilocybe Subaeruginosa (if that's what you're looking for) You are looking in the right places but

Could be a Cortinarius but you will have to wait for ti to confirm the genus

They're both Cortinarius, probably the same species.
