Dry vs wet strength

I've started my first grow yesterday, it's small, 3 cups worth, but I want to see if it will work with almost no equipment. I put them behind my comp where it stays nice and warm. Anyways I've read a few threads on here about the dry/wet thing, but I just want some more clarification. I hear that it's better to eat them wet, but that the strength is different, then people say it's about 1/10 the amount for equivalent weight. I've never tripped on mushies and don't like trying new things head on, so I want to start at about 2-2.5g dry. However since I am growing them it seems a little pointless to dry them especially since everyone says its better wet. So If I eat 25 grams is it the same as 2.5g dry? If it really is stronger wet then maybe 15-20g will do for same effect as 2.5? Or is 1/10th already accounting for the degraded dry weight>?

I haven't eaten fresh yet, even though I grow. But here's the Mushroom dosage calculator. I've found it to be pretty accurate.

It shouldn't be too much stronger if it's dried fast enough and stored properly. It will contain more psilocin as about half of it lost usually when drying. THe difference in strength shouldn't be too much though.

It is said that fresh Mushrooms contain more Psilocin than dried Mushrooms. I would personally get them cracker dry, and eat 1.5-2g if it were my first time, but I don't see anything wrong with eating 15-20g fresh.

Thanks for the calculator link, I picked level 3, and it gave me a weight of 23grams wet which is about what I have been reading.

I want to have a decent trip, so is that about a right starting dose? I don't want it to be too underwhelming. I keep reading different things some say 2.5 is really strong some say it's nothing at all and not worth taking below 3g. I've tripped on 125mcg L about 10 times now, and after getting a little bored with it I moved to 250mcg which was a decent trip but nothing special. But I'm also reading 2g is about a hit of acid, and that would be somewhat underwhelming I think, so maybe I should just jump for 30g wet (3g dry) for the best time?

Honestly I always suggest around 2.5 grams dried for a first dose. 2.5 is a trip, but never overwhelming. You'll get decent visuals aswell.

25 grams wet should be a sufficient dose for a first timer. But for my first time shrooming I took 4 grams and had a blast. But it's always better to know the how dosage feels.

With that experience under your belt I would do 30g fresh into a tea, it'll be what your looking for, I know the feeling you have like "i can handle this, I want to swim, not get my feet wet" type of feeling. Stay true to your ideal set and setting you've found and go for it.

@Achillita & @lovesquare thanks, I think I'm going to settle on 30g, you're right love, I am somewhat tired of dabbling in the shallows, I want to dive right in, hopefully mushies would be kind to me, I need a good introspective ride.
