>this is completely false, it doesnt have to state it on the ticket, it can be inconspicuously at the venue, it can be on their website, it can be at the ticket seller, it can be posted anywhere
It must be stated at point of sale to be valid.
>now, is that ticket a contract or is it merely a receipt that allows you admission, seems you have more to read because contract law is a little more in depth than you seem to believe
More in depth than either of us know. However, selling a ticket to an event is indeed a contract and the seller must honor their end. If they do not provide the event that is violation of the agreement and possibly fraud. You can sue not just for the cost of the ticket but also for actual and punitive damages. You can ask for the suit to be declared class action on behalf of all those who were or may have been denied their rights in a similar way. Lawyers love class action suits because the lawyer fees are huge and are paid by the defendant when they lose.
Now if they do state that bit somewhere on the ticket or where you buy it, then yes that is different. Then its part of the contract you agreed to. That may be the case here. I was talking mostly about cops forcing a search on people.
>you're the one claiming that cops can just shoot you and make some shit up to justify it
Actually, my statement was that they or anyone can do anything they please even if illegal but there will be consequences and it would be insane for a cop to do that. Even more so with witnesses. I did not mean to imply you said that, my bad.
>1. what businesses have violated a person's rights and what were the rights violated
Many many cases, also cops. You want the details of every case, lol?
http://www.nolo.com/legal-encyclopedia/free-books/small-claims-book/chapter2-3.html
A significant number of small claims cases involve breach of contract cases. A contract is any agreement between individuals or businesses in which one side agrees to do something for the other in exchange for something in return. For example, A asks B to paint his kitchen for $3,000 and B agrees. The agreement can be written or oral (in most situations), or implied from the circumstances. These cases end up in small claims court when one of the parties to the contract fails to perform in accordance with the terms of the agreement.
In order to win a breach of contract case, you will need to establish that: •a contract existed •the contract was broken •the defendant is the proper party to sue, and •you suffered a monetary loss. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This does not even go into civil rights violations like when a cop exceeds his authority, inflicts harm under color of law, falsely arrests and so on.
-------------------- “A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship.” (attributed to Alexis de Tocqueville political philosopher Circa 1835) Trade list http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/18047755

Yeah the search isn't actually on the highway though. When you actually pull off the highway and enter onto Bonnaroo grounds there are cops waiting inside waiting to choose cars out of the line for the random search. You must comply or I guarantee you are not going to get in. Trust me I know Roo is nothing like it used to be. I'd say conservatively that at least one out of every 10 - 15 cars gets completely searched. You add that up overall that's a lot of searched vehicles. It's all a great money making racket for Coffee County on top of whatever revenue they already receive from the festival. I went because literally all my friends were like 15 of us and some really good bands I wanted to see were going. My Morning Jacket stole the show. Plus Roo is super close to where I live so I had incentives to go.

I assume it says you are subject to this search before you purchase the ticket? Otherwise, those aren't rules.

that's not how any of this works
cops dont gain probable cause based on a denial of search, private security guards have no need for probable cause. yes cops will try to intimidate you but none of that is new to anyone
No, they don't gain probably cause based on denial of search. But that doesn't stop them from calling the dog and triggering a false alert to give them probable cause.

And why is that facepalm? It actually happens.

I'm not sure if you're aware of this but attending a concert, getting your kitchen painted and handjobs from hookers are not rights, violating a contract is not a violation of your rights
thanks again for the hearty laugh

Gotta find private festivals. In Alaska we had trapper creek blue grass. The guy that owns the property his name is boot. It's a huge circle that everyone camps around. Stage in the center of it all. No mainline artists but there is good music. Probably better imo.

Yep love it.
At this festie they have in girdwood alaska. Chill ass town except for this night. At the base of mount alyeska my main bitch. They were filming that show Alaska State Troopers. I turned every time I saw them as I was rolling and took a half 8th of shrooms. I watched them literally yank anybody driving. I watched so many people get duis and arrested it was ridiculous.
But they never fucked with us under the bridge. Right on the river tons of fire dancing, hula hooping, music constantly. It was chaos. The rocks are set like stadium seating it was something I'll never forget. That's the last thing I did before I left my home Alaska. There were easily 200 people easily

In the end a festival is all about freedom. No worries no cares. Fuck man I work hard it's that little bit of time where I get to unload all that shit and just be myself. If there are cops there I don't want to be there. Whats the point?

I went in '13.. Really wasn't that fun in terms of it being advertised as a 'music festival'. I'd say it's a 'drug festival'. In my opinion the majority of the people there are doing business. I'm sure some of the employees are in on it too, honestly. I remember walking up to the front entrance and I had a little bud on me. The roo employees were like. "ok set your bags down". They looked at them for three seconds and said "alright you're good"
I'm sure the police are becoming more involved because its a god damn money pit. I remember most people weren't even going to the concerts they were just walking around the camps doing business. At the right time of night you can easily spot gang activity

so how do you get what you pay for if a contractor accepts the money to paint you kitchen and then disappears with your cash
you clearly do not understand what a right is because you're referring to a right to get what you pay for... for a second time.maybe a 4th, I lost track

well theres def some sort of organization going on at any large scale music festival...people dont camp out for 3 days with tons of music without drugs lol, it just doesnt happen...someones gotta sell drugs
ive seen a team of people leave a festival with filthy amounts of cash and they prob went to less than 3 sets that weekend...when i was talking to em, they said all of them had warrants out for their arrest for skipping court dates, but they make so much money on festival season that as long as they stay outta jail, they make all the money they gotta for the whole year
obvy security was looking for weapons, some security cares, some dont give a fuck, but they all care about weapons
