I just returned from an awesome visit to Cali and fuck if I missed the humidity here at home. I sweat just from breathing
Came home to some pin porn though. Glad my buddy was able to check up on em and make sure the evil green didn't move into town when I was gone.

Every few tubs I get a random plant that pops up. They're some motivated little bastards.

How do those plants do?
I tried growing a tomato in fully colonized substrate. It got choked off and stagnated. You can see it in the bottom of this pic of my lonely outdoor fruit

Killer job. I'm assuming it wasn't cased, cool that it didn't blob.
What was the substrate to spawn ratio? What kind of substrate?

Thanks! I used a light casing (JiffyMix) on the top surface. The sub was just cheap manure (Black Kow) compost and vermiculite (50/50).

That's what I thought. Fucking A. I had good spawn thinking my bucket may have been the bucket I used for my coir prep. I just prepped more coir and am now worried about that shit. Can someone look at my jars? I shook then after they were sitting for almost a month and some responded the rest looks dehydrated. Anyways I'll destroy that shit but here's yesterday's second flush from the 20qt tub
