Panaeolususez!!
    #21828099 - 06/19/15 01:06 PM (8 years, 7 months ago)

know these are panaeolopsis and a panaeolus of some kind, but which one? Found in a well maintained yard with multiple other panaeolus in lagre groups. I waz on my way to work and spotted clusters of mushrooms from the road...had to stop...these were some of the more interesting ones. I have already identified the panaeolopsis but cannot determine whether the others are olivaceous or fimicola. No microscope available so it is pretty much up to you guys with loads of experience. Spore prints were/are obviously very black. Stipes are 9cm in length ans very thin but strong. Largest cap is 2cm wide. Gills are black with almost white edges.....

They look like cincts, to me.

I've noticed with pan foes the gills hang below the margin of the pileus, and pan subb/cint usually have their gills not only above the margin, but the gills are spaced out away from the stipe and of course grey-black.

So, yeah!

Aren't they a little small for cinctulus? I have found those plenty of times and they are larger. Also, what about the incurved margin and lack of rings on them?

I would say those are Cincs. The red stems are a giveaway
