Heart problems?

So for about 4 months now I've noticed a reoccurring tightness/heaviness, precisely where the left nipple is. Some times its more of a dull ache. I'm only 20, my lifestyle isn't the best tbh, but I drink plenty of water, I do a lot of walking at work, so that counts as good exercise I guess. I don't eat a lot, though. I'm underweight. The pain used to only occur after meals, so I passed it off as indigestion. Now it seems to only occur after a few bong sessions. I do the Shotty technique. I'm guessing it can't be doing any good for my lung and might be doing damage to my heart? Could smoking too much weed and tobacco be the cause of the pain. I am planning to go the GP, I just wanted to hear others opinions.

Shotties are a lung beater! Smoking like that causes a large volume of hot air to enter your lungs which can damage the alveoli structure/ walls. Damage over time will reduce you lungs capacity for oxygen exchange. Lots of older people who have smoked for years now suffer from copd. One of the primary complaints is tightness in the chest and shortness of breathe. See emphysema for details of the harm smoking can have.
Have you thought about switching to vaping (vaponic is good portable herb vaporiser).

I have thought about getting a vaporizer(both herbal and e-ciq) for some time now, but I'll defiantly be getting them next pay day. I want to eliminate all smoke. My nan has copd, and it don't look like a nice experience for sure.
Would you say joints are a healthier option than shotties? Don't really want to use shotties anymore...and I don't like using the gauze either.

We should really be vaping weed tbh i think bongs shottys n joints are all gonna have the same outcome in the end, shottys n bongs maybe quicker but it's still gonna end up the same, problem is pure weed is hard to smoke for me, especially haze's.
I reckon you should just invest in a vape rig a good one n do it like that.

With each containing one of the following: Cyanide... Psilocin... Would you take the risk? Didn't think so. This is why Positive Identification prior to consumption is important.

I know what you mean though, i do shit like check my pulse n stuff, i think it's anxiety to be honest
Usually paired with digestive issues it can seem like you have a heart problem, i'm the same, paranoid/anxious about it, what helps for me is taking Lansoprazole or Omeprazole, i feel better when i do, which tells me it may just be a mix of digestive problems and anxiety.
Give it a try, tell your GP you have constant heartburn everyday and they will give you a month trial.
It may work for you like it's worked for me.

Okay, thank you for the advice. I can't really afford a high quality vape, though. Has any one had experience with a cheap one from ebay?

I get what you mean by anxiety, but my tolerance is really high at the moment. I'm smoking weed like cigs atm. I had my blood pressure checked a few months back, which was normal(surprisingly)...I'll still go to GP during the week, though.

You sound like me haha, down to the age, build and lifestyle. I considered making almost exactly the same thread. I think we just need to quit smoking
Easier fuckin' said than done though. I guess I could try getting an ecig and going that route but it seems like a big investment on something I'm not sure will even work.

Yup, easier said than done, mate. I do consider you to get an e-cig. It all depends on the strength of the liquid you get really. I don't crave the nicotine so much, just the feeling of the hit down my throat...e-cigs do a good job at that (Y). Make sure you get on above the £20 range, because they all seem to break below that. Quitting always comes with trial and error.

Cigarettes are a piece of cake to quit. You just need to want to quit. If there is any part of you that wants to smoke, then you're going to have a rough time quitting, because they are so accessible.
I say this because I used to smoke. Now, the smell is repulsing. I get annoyed when I am in a situation that makes my clothes smell like cigs. All it takes is one in the car, and BOOM, you stink.
I was once addicted to opiates. I quit those because I wanted to quit. It was pure hell. I've "stopped" smoking cigs multiple times, and it's always the same thing...
- 3 days of feeling jittery - after a week, you're fine - after a month, you can be around people smoking, and you'll want one but will power is a must - after 3 months, cigs will repulse you, if you really wanted to quit.
Some people just need a reason to quit. Maybe when your heart starts beating abnormally, and you're rushed to the hospital, that will be enough? Nicotine is a really nasty, addictive, and toxic substance. When you first start, you get a nice euphoric feeling, but after that, you're a slave to them to feel normal.
Bite the bullet, don't be around anyone that smokes, and you'll be able to quit in a week. Just keep in mind that you can never pick one up again, else you risk going out and buying a pack for social smoking, or because your "just going to smoke in the car" or "just when I've had a few drink." And then that turns into another cycle of tar building up in your lungs.

Well, smoking tobacco will cause heart problems later on in life, that's an undisputed fact. Be that as it may, if you kick the tobacco, I'll wager your weird chest sensations will probably cease.
