Variegated growht ?

Hi guys, i wanted to ask a question. Is some days i may become the owner of 2 variegated cacti. Namely Stenocereus pruinosus ansd Hylocereus undatus.
Variegated cacti that can live on their roots are of course not totally yellow, but have a considerable green part. If i do take a cutting on one (let's say the stenocereus) i get a top part to root , and a bottom that will pup. Usually pups come from the highest areole available (something that seems a rule among my trichs)
If i do take a cutting in a way that i get several "variegated areole" on top, will my odds to get variegated pups get higher?

I would believe so. I've just started taking cuttings from my variegated grafts and so far I seem to be getting a good pup or 2 with the same variegation.
I only have 1 partially variegated plant atm that I haven't cut yet but I will here in a week or so when it gets large enough.
Take some pics when you get them and get started spreading the variegation so we can all learn from what you do

I will get a big stenocactus pruinosus top cutting (not sure if it the correct ID) It has 4 ribs and it's pretty square, one of 4 faces nicely variegated (plue the areoles). i won't get the hylocereus sadly.... was really well variegated, but price rised too much on ebay, and went over 40 euros.

i was really tempted to bid more, because Hylo grows really fast and if well cared can push out 5/6 healthy new "leaves", that if variegated, can be sold again. Still,i'm saving money to buy that variegated TBM cutting.

I'm excited to see it
BTW "just a lil off topic" But my Opuntia ficus indica seedlings are looking great and atm I have them out in full sun but they're still a bit tall and stretched.
I'll take a pic here soon if you wanna check them out. Also I'm thinking about grafting one of the smaller discolored ones to see what happens with the growth.

Here it is.
I ask for correct ID
now, this piece is really big, at least 10 cm thick, 50 cm long. But it's a cutting and has no roots. also the other 3 faces are badly scarred and lack variegation (it's a 4 ribbed , perfectly square)
if it had roots, i would have probably potted it already, but since it hasn't i think that it is no shame to give it another cut at center Again, my goal would be to see pups coming from variegated areoles, and hoping for variegated growht If i do a cut in the right place i get 2 variegated areole at top (the 2 in the other side are not variegated and i may want to get rid of them)
What do you think?

Could it be Stenocereus (Lemaireocereus) pruinosus? No idea on the variegated thing, that's definitely not my beach...
