Not only did you find a Brugmansia but you found a variegated Brugmansia. You essentially hit the jackpot my friend. Ask for a cutting and grow it out.

That's not Datura either. I'll need some leaf and other pictures to make a guess.

Be careful if you really are making a tea and thinking of ingesting it. You should have a sober sitter for your own safety. I don't think people should use Brugmansia but people are free to do as they choose.

There are 2 or 3 I think gotta look closer.  If I'm not mistaken that's salvia used as undergrowth.

datura is a dangerous one. Be careful if you actually take it.

If you drink tea of this "datura" you will have a hard time at the toilets...

It's a calystegia. Powerful purgative  !

Figured it wasn't datura.  I spotted a few down the road that looked much closer though.

I'll get pics.
Any kind of an extraction I should use with the brugmansia?    Is this possible?  Acid base?

Not sure Im ready for any acetylcholine blocker though.  I have not made any tea yet.

The flowers are the size of my head.  I would need a gallon of water to soak a single flower.

'Which road do I take?' she asked.
'Where do you want to go?' was his response.
'I don't know', Alice answered.

I believe a/b extraction is what criminals use to extract out the "devil's breath" to poison people.

You are either very brave or foolish to actually WANT to feel like that :awesomenod:

Wow, this plant looks beautifull, I really dig the multicolored leaves.
We have a few Brugmansia of different varieties in our town's parks /castlegrounds, but I've never seen leaves like that before.

The alkaloid content is hardly to tell with this kind of hybrid I guess.
Some varieties have all Scopolamin, Atropin an Hyoscyamin in all parts of the plant (B.insignis), some have mainly Scopolamine in the leaves (B.aurea, B.candida),
and some have only Atropin as the main alkaloid in the flowers while other compunds in the leaves (B.sanguinea).

It's more common to take 2-4 (midsized) leaves than a flower, if you really want to ingest some. You can smoke the dried leaves to start small..

There are a lot of days I don't remember.  I couldn't tell you what I did 52 days ago. So I don't see that big of a deal of losing 2-3 days.  Or Experience a differnt reality.

Truly not sure how I'm feeling about an acetylcholine blocker though.

I have a terrible memory too, and I do get why people experiment with it I was just making a joke.

I have considered micro dosing datura with other things for its anti nausea properties.

Definitely some interesting stuff around those plants, though they do seem almost sinister from everything I have read of the experience.

Yeah could go wrong with a medium to large dose. However, it has been done before and i'm not knocking it either. I just personally dont like it for anything except its beautiful flowers.

I love the look of brugmansias but like musiclover420 said.. it can be quite intense

Yea Ive read they use it for smoking cessation successfully also it's used In motion sickness as well as other safe effective Medicinal therapies.

Isn't the differnce from a poison and a medicine simply dose dependent.

Yup, that is the only difference between a medicine and a poison.

Most if not all medicine can be toxic if used wrong and most if not all poisons can be used medicinally if used correct

Humans have pretty complex bodies, makes medicine pretty confuzzling.
