So just thought I'd share these pics here.. I'll post more when I've got a few popped up and/or harvested. First to last just shows me layering with pasturized straw and woodchips(cherry & misquite) then the top layer is compost and pine bark mulch which I know cyanescens don't usually pin on however it is present in the natural habitat so I think it should be present in my soil also, only a thin layer on top, which does wonders for the blueberry bush as well.

This looks terrific. A long time ago I wanted to start an Azurescens bed here in Northern Illinois. I had my jars of grain spawn coming along pretty nicely when they developed contaminations and I had to abort the project. The contamination was due to the fact that I had bought a big new pressure cooker, but hadn't upgraded my heat source, which was an old hot plate. So the combo of big cooker and small heat didn't produce the temps necessary to kill all the bad guys. Prior to the purchase of the big cooker I was using an ancient 6 quart Presto. Never never had a problem with contamination with that little boy. Moral of this story: Your pot needs to match your fire.
