I have only read the first point in the OP and already this is stupid. Or maybe the rest is smart, but point #1 is very stupid.
"Liberalism creates a feedback loop. It is usually impossible for a non-liberal to change a liberal's mind about political issues because liberalism works like so: only liberals are credible sources of information. How do you know someone's liberal? He espouses liberal doctrine. So, no matter how plausible what you say may be, it will be ignored if you're not a liberal and if you are a liberal, of course, you probably agree with liberal views. This sort of close-mindedness makes liberals nearly impervious to any information that might undermine their belief"
You can replace the word liberal by any other word to label something and it'll fit in the sentence. Liberal, Conservative, Nazi, Communist, whatever you want.
Try it, see for yourself

But pat, its more applicable to liberals. Moderates and conservatives are open minded, not so the moonbats.

Purely faith? How about a lifetime of arguing with liberals and getting no where? You can present facts with valid sources to a liberal and they will deny it and argue anyways. You can't rationalize with irrational people.
Uh what about global warming. I don't have a source for this, but I'm speculating most scientists are "liberals" so how is what you're saying valid?
It's funny how even respected conservatives are now changing their viewpoint on global warming now that people are getting all pissed because they are wrong... The science is there, the REAL science. Not the conservative bias science. When conservatives are wrong, they try to change their views slowly so the idiots who believe them don't notice....
Show me the proof. You can't do it. The climate is always changing and that is a good thing. Would you be happier if much of the planet was still covered in a two mile thick coat of ice? Global warming ended that. Yay. We were supposed to get more severe storms but that hasn't happened. No warming for almost 20 years. Now the frauds are rejiggerring the data to hide the decline. And what would be the harm? More of the earth becomes arable? Finally, why would you want to curtail the use of something that is the single greatest cause of human prosperity? That's right, that's what fossil fuels are. Cheap energy means prosperity. They talk about sustainability but no other energy source is financially sustainable without subsidies.

this was probably written by a moron who probably doesn't even understand what liberalism is. it's a pretty broad term to begin with that varies depending on history (e.g. 18th century liberalism v. liberalism today) and even location; being "liberal" in texas is not exactly the same as being "liberal" in, say, new york because - to a certain degree - the philosophy is issue-specific, and issues tend to play out differently in different places. i don't have a problem with anyone disagreeing with whatever the liberal stance on an issue is, but this particular article seems like hot air to me.
OK now we're getting into nonsense. liberalism as generally defined is big government pain in the assness and nobody is responsible for their actions because society has failed them.

Typical conservative logic... The last sentence you typed is a perfect example of what I see all the time. You are basically trying to justify the burning of fossil fuels.

If you cannot comprehend the data on this page, you ARE delusional.
The last 50 years have shown DRAMTIC increases in CO2 levels, sea level, and temperature.

OBVIOUSLY the climate changes. It happens on every planet for various reasons. The FACTS prove that the climate has changed MORE and QUICKER in the past 50 years or so than ever before. That is FACT.

Did you even look at the page? Or did you just ignore all the data because it is a government website?
First statistic listed on the page :
Global sea level rose about 17 centimeters (6.7 inches) in the last century. The rate in the last decade, however, is nearly double that of the last century
Is there something you don't understand about the levels of CO2 and temperature have increased at a MUCH faster rate than ever before? It doesn't matter if the earth is hotter than ever before. The fact is that the earth WILL be hotter than ever very soon. Just look at the graph on that page... The CO2 levels is basically a straight line going up for the past 70 years.... It is DOUBLE what it has been in the past 600,000 years, and about 200 years ago it was the LOWEST it has been in 600,000 years. Is that really that hard to understand?
If you aren't gonna actually look at the page, I will just link the graph.

Correlate that with this

CO2 is 72% of the greenhouse gas emissions in the world
Then correlate that with temperature and ice caps melting.... a 5 year old could understand.

Quote:
“As part of past status reports, the PBSG has traditionally estimated a range for the total number of polar bears in the circumpolar Arctic. Since 2005, this range has been 20-25,000. It is important to realize that this range never has been an estimate of total abundance in a scientific sense, but simply a qualified guess given to satisfy public demand. It is also important to note that even though we have scientifically valid estimates for a majority of the subpopulations, some are dated. Furthermore, there are no abundance estimates for the Arctic Basin, East Greenland, and the Russian subpopulations.Consequently, there is either no, or only rudimentary, knowledge to support guesses about the possible abundance of polar bears in approximately half the areas they occupy. Thus, the range given for total global population should be viewed with great caution as it cannot be used to assess population trend over the long term.” [my bold]

I looked at it. I didn't see one single temperature. And you still haven't answered my questions. CO2 is essential for plants, which is what animals eat and the level of CO 2 in the atmosphere is 400 parts per MILLION! What is that? 0.04%. Are you fucking kidding me? You really think that trace gas is really going to blow up the climate? There is 25 times more argon in the atmosphere. Alarmist bullshit
