Why do so many members here quote entire posts that are directly above them? There is a reply/quick reply feature here for a reason. Use it!
List any other posting habits you find annoying on the Shroomery.

I don't mind quoting until it gets out of hand. Like when people are repeatedly nesting quotes that have multiple videos in them, so it takes up like half a page for their quote

When someone quotes the mile long novel of the first post of the thread rather than just reply.

That as well.
Another thing that perturbs me is when people write long posts with absolutely no line breaks. I won't even bother reading those posts until they're reformatted to my liking.

why don't you like giant walls of text kr0nik0? that doesn't seem like it would be that bad of a thing to have to deal with on any given day, in any given place, for any given reason, but then again - people have different viewpoints on different things at different points of their lives so i suppose there could arise a situation where you and I might have a differentiated perspective that leads to dramatically changed interpretations of the world around us, ever-changing in it's supreme glory, never ceasing to amaze with the fractilic nature of it's creation and destruction of one and all. Having traveled far and wide and experienced few and many things in big and small dark and light places full of empty people and empty but for one full person, i can tell you that things can be extraordinarilyintrospectivelyextrovertedlyinterminably difficult to work with. you might be thinking at this point, was that a word? certainly no one is certain of their certainty regarding that [alleged] phrasing; but what can we do? if you've even made it this far into my walloftext attempt i commend you for your dedication and sense of microadventure, to follow blindly into the wilderness of another's thoughtstream, to see what's on the other side of the endless grassy knolls that tumble forth from the deep well of consciousness that is my ego and psyche, that is, in turn, the outer shell and communicating medium of my 'soul', which is, in turn, just a temporary separation of consciousnessness from the universal entity that we all, in the aggregate, comprise. who knows where this will end, whether it will serve a purpose - be it through the journey of composition or through some potential revelation of the end-product - or whether these characters, like countless others, will be lost forever in the burning lake that is the eternal resting place of senseless shit held on the internet, in some dark corner of some large datacenter in some industrial complex somewhere. maybe, like all things online, it will be stored forever, ever-clinging to the potential that it will some day be called forth from the attics of our collective mind into the spotlight once again, simply for containing a nugget of wisdom, or for being penned by the individual on the other end of this line; this keyboard; this thoughtstream, that, remarkably, you're still reading. obviously this is just a test to see whether kr0nik0 will live by his word and even bother reading this post until it's been reformatted to his liking; and especially since i'll never ask about his formatting preferences, and thus will never reformat, and thus, he can snub his nose all he wants. maybe he'll highlight the whole thing and do a control+f to find his name, just to make surei 'm not taking shit somewhere in this wall of text, and then, upon seeing that no remarkable smear has been cast, will click on to the next meaningless Pub thread filled by dithering diatribe on the dynamics of dogmatic delusions; devoid of destruction or disruption in the dawn of day. eternally enigmatic in their espoused esoterics, formidably foul in the futuristic fortunes found in feared gyrations of gigantic genomes, gentrifying God and goats alike in a hedonistic yet heroic heavenly home.
Amen.

probably my favorite post i've ever made. ive never taken the time to have a thoughtstream conveyance. it's an interesting exercise. to force yourself to say "i'm going to sit here and create a giant wall of text. go." and then to type whatever comes to mind.
obviously you have to have pretty quick fingers on the keyboards in order to be able to handle the flow of information; but as long as you're pretty quick, you can slow the brain down enough to allow you to get it all out there~

Glad you brought up rule 4 exemptions.
I don't think I've seen a pub thread locked due to rule 4 in close to a year.
Mods, why are you letting this happen?

Or quote any post that is long as hell that nobody probably read to begin with. Like the wall post above in this thread that was quoted. I know that was for demonstrative purposes only and makes a good point.

I prefer quoting to replying. That way there is no confusion as to who and what I'm replying too.
Occasionaly I will reply, but very rarely. It's too easy to miss a reply if you're fast scrolling down a thread
Then again, quoting a post with 100 pictures... Now that's annoying... At least have the decentcy to delete the pics and leave the text only or keep the one pic you want to keep
