Someone stole my neighbors laundry

It was hanging up last night after 9pm in the laundry room of our building. He doesn't use the dryer ever, he always hangs his shit up to dry. There were a couple of football jerseys there too, so I think that's what the theif saw first is the jerseys.
I guess he fell asleep and when we went to get his stuff it was early in the morning, like 5am...and only hangers left. Fucking theif took 2 jerseys, a bunch of long sleeve t-shirts and some athletic wear like running shorts and shirts and stuff. WHO DOES THAT?! It's really weird because we live a really nice building in a nice jewish neighborhood.
Have you ever had your laundry stolen? Do you think it was someone in the building? It probably was, it's a secure building and it happened in between 9am and 5am. Even if they sold it on Kijiji or something, what are they going to get for someones old concert t-shirts and a fucking Vikings jersey? Aren't the Vikings like the worst team in the NFL?
Are they going to wear it? If I see someone wearing my friends clothes I'm going to tackle them and dick punch them. Who steals laundry? That's so fucked up.

Last week I did the same thing. I had to do some laundry at about 9 at night and I fell asleep while my clothes were in the dryer. When I woke up to get ready for work I realized my work uniform wasnt there which reminded me that I forgot to get my clothes that night. I freaked out at first because I would be in deep shit if I lost my work uniforms and I live in a decent building, but I wouldnt be surprised if someone stole my clothes. To my surprise, not only were all my clothes there, but someone was nice enough to take them out of the dryer and fold them

Uhh.... it is the case. You really think somebody isn't going to jack your shit? Leave your bike out unchained for a day or two and see if it's still there... odds are if you have any traffic in your area it will be long gone.

stealing laundry happens all the time. I used to leave my laundry at the laundry mat and go have a few beers but they were just work clothes that even after washing stink of petroleum.

typically teens, usually mid to late teens
ask your friend why he'd leave his laundry hanging in a public place without it being attended because in some people's little heads that is now abandoned property

It's a really nice building full of professional adults. No punks, no sketch bag shifty eyes, no broke ass college kids can afford to live in this neighborhood.
It's just weird.

Maybe someone was pissed he decided to use public/communal space as his own personal drying rack. That's moderately rude.

I blame the Jews.
I just moved into an apartment complex after having spent the last few years at a house with our own laundry. So now it's a shared laundry room. 6 washers and 6 dryers.
Three times this has happened to me, where I go into to do a wash, and there's some clothes in the washers, with like 10 minutes or something left on them. I set an alarm and come back when their clothes should be done, always a little less than the time left so I don't get swooped.
I'll come back and watch the laundry finish, the. Sit and wait for the person to come back and put their clothes in the dryers. And I'll sit and wait and wait and wait. The first time I waited 34 minutes, the amount of time it take for the washers to run. So the clothes have been in for enough time to run thru twice. So I take out the clothes and set them aside. Do my wash, and then put them in the dryer.
With like 5 minutes left in the dryer this lady comes in and starts bitching about someone touching her clothes. She had left them for way over an hour and expects it to just be left there. I told her to set a fucking alarm and act like an adult, no one owes her shit. She kept bitching and I finished up and left. As I'm leaving she said she's gonna throw bleach in my washer next time she sees me doing laundry. I turned and said, 'good luck cunt! I don't leave my shit unattended for hours!'
The other two times it was just dryers that were left unattended and I threw them on the counter after waiting like 10 minutes.
