Rejected (Philosopher's Stone) Sclerotia

After a couple of months of loving care I decided to harvest a small hand full of tampanensis stones from a master grain jar used for LC and liberate the colonized grain to an outdoor tomato pot for a chance to fruit if conditions ever become optimal. I took great care to harvest the stones and clean them up. I meditated over them and asked for permission to ingest them for an enlightening journey. When I felt the time was right I chewed them up, noting their nutty texture and almost overwhelming acidic/metallic after taste and swallowed. I was immediately consumed by nausea and my mouth began watering with saliva as I could feel the glands pumping overtime. I sat in my chair and attempted to tolerate the nausea and overcome it. I have always had a very strong stomach and could squelch the need to evacuate easily. However, this time I could not control it so I headed outdoors to purge. I had not eaten the stones more than fifteen minutes and I was forcefully vomiting them into the grassy back yard for scavenger creatures to find. This was my very first experience with stones and have never had a similar experience with nausea consuming mushroom fruits several times prior.I hope that the fungi was just telling me not to trip this evening and all will be well next time. I am bummed that I did not get to trip but I am more concerned that maybe stones just don't agree with me That would be a real shame given the time and resources I have invested to ensure I have more than I know what to do with. I think next time I will utilize some ginger root before hand and minimize chewing the stones to deter that taste that I can't seem to get over.
Has anyone else had similar experience with stones and/or have any possible solutions?

Cut them into bite-sized chunks and swallow them with orange juice? That's what I did when I tried magic truffles. I was about to suggest grating them into a powder-like substance and mixing it with a highly tart drink, but I'm not sure that would help. Neither would making the stuff into capsules, as I imagine it'd require you to swallow about a hundred.

Truffle lemonade man, its fucking delicious, just finely chop your truffles and put them into warm water for 30 mins to an hour squueze in a lemon and let the lemonade soak up the goodness, stir often to keep it agitated and extracting thoroughly. Strain off the spent truffles and save them to add to a pizza or something and add sugar to the lemonade. Add ice and your good to go. Smooth come up within 20 mins or so and no nausea or bad after taste. Truffles taste SOOO cosmic man. enjoy brother.

I have some ATL#7 ready to harvest and I'd hate to have them "reject" me, but I think OP it's simpler than that. I rarely eat mushrooms and I don't really plan to eat the stones, I'm going to make tea with them just like I would fresh shrooms. The taste will come through fine and the actives are fully extracted, so it would be my recommendation - avoid the nausea.

Seconding tea. I got sick of eating shrooms and have been making tea for awhile now. Helps a ton with the nausea.

I am certainly not discouraged. I will find a method that works for me. When I looked in the back yard this morning in the day light I noticed some undigested food I had eaten a few hours prior to taking the stones. I really didn't eat much because I knew I was going to dose but it looked like most of it was there and undigested. So maybe it was a combination of the semi "bad" food and the odd taste of the stones that I am not used to that synergisticly made me want to blow chunkiness. Throw a nice dose of kratom on top of that and I had the making of a sixth grade science fair volcano in my gut. Thus, ruining my good time. I did get some very minor visual effects and my usual evening headache was not there so it wasn't a total loss.

Well... That quickly, you can rule out bacteria causing you to be sick Sounds almost like an allergy... Hopefully not to the stone, but what it grew in, mold or mildew on it. Can try washing gently before eating... Make sure no substrate... That will make you sick
Are you taking any other drugs? How do you feel about allergy meds? Take a dose an hour or so before mushrooms?
Could dry and grind, put into capsules... Be a lot of caps though I have make mushroom tea using lemon and honey, or lemonade or pure cranberry juice If you are keyed into the flavor though... Best to get them down without tasting
Hope you can find the solution....
Peace

Yeah, when I harvested I picked all of the substrate off (whole oats) but I did not actually wash them off with water and brush. I have to wonder if that didn't play a part in my nausea. The substrate itself was very healthy and fully colonized through the entire jar so I don't think there were any contaminations. Though, it's always a possibility. I will chock this up to a learning experience. My next attempt will be to clean the stones well, mince them with a knife to avoid chewing them and then down them with a strong flavored drink. I will also pre dose with some ginger root for good measure.I do take kratom daily for degenerative disc disease pain relief and general mood enhancement. My new vendor has stronger product than I have been used to and that may be a factor also. I will have to reduce my dose and time it well next time. As for the allergy theory; I have never been allergic to anything and allergy meds will knock me out so I would only try that as a last resort. If all else fails I will just have to trade my stones out for fruits. They have never done more than give me gas occasionally in the past.

I am with you guys on making a tea, as I hate mushrooms by nature and can't stand when them dry ones get stuck in the teeth. BUT in my last trips with
tea I have noticed that it is sooo much shorter in length, do you guys have any advice on making the trip last longer when using tea?

My tea trips average 5-6 hours, is that long enough? Either up the dosage or make the tea with acidified water.

Always strain it, the shrooms are spent if the tea is made correctly.

ACCEPTED!!!
If at first you don't succeed.....ask the fungi again. This time, with a little preparation, it went splendidly. I am having a very nice time with the stones.
Good vibes to everyone!!
