ive had a deep under the skin zit for about 2 months. i think i pop it, it heals almost all the way, then it seems like theres something in there again once its 90% healed.
anyways, today i put cold sore cream on it and let it sit on my face and the zit came right out on its own.
i decided to put it all over my face, and i cant tell you how happy i am, my face cleared up in a matter of hours.
i got lysine. im curious what in it helped.
is anyone willing to try it, im interested if this helps anyone else or if anyone knows what in it may have helped

That's interesting. After some quick google research, from what I can tell L-Lysine is an essential amino acid (essential meaning the body cannot create it on its own) involved in collagen creation and tissue repair.
I am willing to try it, not all over my face, but on a cystic pimple I have on a my cheek that's been slow to heal.
Can you post a link or pic to what brand you used?
What usually works for me with pimples that are stubborn to heal is making a simple paste out of plain aspirin tablets & water.

i don't have the tube anymore. it's blue and white with a bit of green. it says "lip clear (brand maybe?) lysine+ cold sore treatment" .25 oz tube with a green leaf across the top.
this seriously cleared my whole face up overnight !
It contains olive oil, l-lysine, beeswax, echinacea, honey and other things, so I was curious which of these i should further experiment with.

Honey is really good for the skin too. I used to it to wash my face for a while when I was having really bad cystic acne break outs on my cheeks. Echinacea is great for the immune system, though I have never heard of it being used topically. I found it on amazon....It also contains calendula which is a wonderful anti-inflammatory, and tea tree which is supposed to be good for acne too.
So, it could have been any or all of those things that helped. I'm about to go run some errands and am going to stop at CVS and see if they have it!

Here's the package it comes in. I've still been using this and I can't tell you how amazing it is. It's like a wonder cream for my face.
People will experiment with so many drugs here, but no one will experiment with a little cold sore ointment on a zit?

brings crap to surface in hours, this isn't something you need to "keep" using to see if it works, just a few hours
