Help Identifying Mushrooms
    #21818847 - 06/17/15 12:09 PM (8 years, 7 months ago)

Habitat:
Basic grass yard with some fertilizer but no pesticides/herbicides/etc. Found growing out of soil, usually shorter than the blades of grass and they were easily separated from the ground. Found in Indiana in June during Summer with weather being between 70-85 but usually 80 and high humidity with lots of sunlight

Gills:
Dark brownish maybe black, adnexed or maybe free (the gills rise upwards to the cap possibly not meeting the stem, I'm not very sure), gills that are somewhat close together

Stem:
An inch or two sometimes smaller, very small, light brown to white or a sort of light dirt color, fully solid, very thin

Cap:
Mere centimeters with occasional caps being maybe a centimeter total, brown to light tan, texture, the caps are somewhat knobbed and conical but mostly convex

Spore print color:
Light brown, no picture because of degradation of cap

Bruising:
Didn't notice any bruising but I don't have a keen eye for mushrooms yet

Other information:
Smells like a basic mushroom to me honestly, very odd but when I was making a spore print the cap got extremely wet and fell apart revealing what looked like small maggots none of the others I picked showed this trait but they were not under a cup for printing I am currently very concerned about the maggots that came out regarding my own exposure to them
