However I am definitely noticing my Star Gazers colonize faster than my Ecuadorians. Does this really come down more to individual genetics than it does strain?

Its individual genetics.

A cube is a cube just like a dog is a dog. They might look a bit different, but they still eat the same thing, and behave just like a dog. In the end they are the same species. A cube...is still a cube.

That's really intriguing- I had, as of returning to the study, not known how unique each individual mushroom is- :mindblown:
