I took this pic too

I didn't bother picking any of these, I read last night theyre not for beginners. in fact, I read even seasoned professionals should probably leave these alone. lol
can anyone tell me if the fist pic I posted is an active mushroom? ive seen similar pics on this site of active mushrooms

There's not enough detail in that pic to say. I'd lean heavily toward "no", they look like galerina. Show us some close ups and gill shots and we can tell you for sure

Takes a lot of time and patience but if you have both of those you'll be ok. Well, patience anyway.

Look for sheep you usually find quite a bit of edibles and actives around them from now till early December.
Libs are fruiting already, not many but they are out there.
High sheep fields and farmland, disturbed land is usually best.
Should see the first decent flush in a week or two providing it stays like this, i mean you will have trouble finding mushrooms if they're not actually fruiting properly yet, give it a week or so then go have a look the fun is in the hunt anyway, once you find a spot it's usually good to keep going back mycelium stretches for miles.
-------------------- I give you the choice of 2 pills.
With each containing one of the following: Cyanide... Psilocin... Would you take the risk? Didn't think so. This is why Positive Identification prior to consumption is important.

No problem G, i've pm'd you some details anyway about potential habitats for uk actives, biggest flush is usually mid september. But as i say if you're persistent they are out there, just much easier when the season kicks off.
