What makes you think there will be a fall?  I'm 58.  It hasn't happened yet.

you used the word hubris.

hubris isnt pride alone. its excessive pride.

I'm not the one who used it.  Somebody else used it to describe me.  Pay attention.  And nobody has answered my question.  What's wrong with it?

There's nothing wrong with hubris. It's the basis of many epic stories, and who doesn't like those. Nemesis always comes in and fixes any problems that can't be solved with hubris anyway, so I say keep it up.

So it is one stubborn old mans opinion vs all the people using mushrooms for thousands of years spiritually and medicinally.

Even worshiping the mushrooms as gods, but no. You totally know everything.

i simply am trying to point out that your question is akin to

Ummm no.  Pretty much everybody I ever tripped with tripped for fun.  The few who thought they found enlightenment were kinda laughed at with an "alright whatever you say"  Not surprisingly their supposed enlightenments were stupid and banal.

I do not deny consciousness.  Like Pris says, people who claim they are enlightened are pompous twats.

I found God and he's the reason I won't have dementia when I get old.

The dementia didn't show me that. God did and maybe satan.

I just got done telling you i only worded it that way because it was easiest. Of course i know the mushroom doesnt have a brain or specific agenda. Although i fo believe i have an agenda and whatever i subconsciously want from the mushroom, i tend to usually receive. I am on a mission to perfect my personality flaws(even though its impossible)..thats why the mushroom makes me feel guilt about the mistakes i make.

My problem is you saying you have no issues or make mistakes.

And no, tripping is not just for fun. If that were the case..more people would trip and there would be no such thing as bad trips.

well everyone is fucked in the head just not as much as others. there's a wide spectrum of crazy around the world.

think about it this way. in society the middle finger is seen as offensive and shocking to some.

that's crazy if you ask me.

Watch me own zappa...

How did you come up with the wisdom "there is no wisdom or revelation to be found in drugs?"

Drugs.

So yeah, you are a walking contradiction.

I used to think my trips were teaching me something, but I could  never quite grasp what that something might be

As I became more used to the psychedelic headspace the answers I thought I was receiving from these experiences became ever more confusing and ridiculous always creating more questions than they answered

Nowadays I trip for the fuck of it I trip for that indescribable joy that it brings to me I trip for the pretty colors and I came to learn that if there's one thing psychedelics really teach you it's to not take everything so seriously

and that's the wisest thing you can come up with... he said there was no wisdom to be had from drugs, but how would he know that unless it was wise to know that, and where would he have learned that but from drugs?

that's your particular sort of wisdom, isn't it?

Psychedelics may have not given me any secret answers to questions BUT what it has done, undoubtingly, has made me more mature towards concepts of death, life, and everything inbetween. That alone makes it something to be respected as a knowledge-giving experience.

psychs have this special way of allowing you to put yourself in other peoples shoes. To understand why they think the way they think.

Its a psychology tool.

the drugs don't teach you they give the ability to step back and think of things from a new perspective.

that never ending questions thing, is the universes way of saying its infinite and there is no "answer to answer all questions"

I read on this site years ago, someone posted these two theories and i'm going to paraphrase but here it goes.

there is a theory that when the answer to the universe is discovered it infinitely becomes more complex and changes. another theory suggests this has happened before.

ponder that.
