I haven't tripped on shrooms in a long time. When I do, I get really bicurious and start craving cock.

Unless you are female that is the usual response.  Who knows what would have happened if I had had another cock available.  Everybody knows 'shrooms make you gay

Are you eating a whole new kind of mushroom or something with a drug that is unique to you?

Because if not it would seem you are tripping on something that has been used for thousands of years for along what Bill said, and spiritual/ other purposes.

What makes you unique?

Some people trip in silent darkness, some people trip in the forest. Both groups are tripping on mushrooms, but they are tripping in different ways.

How do you not understand this?

Zappa didn't say he tripped on a new different drug, just that he tripped differently than bill.

Of course I understand that but being the same substance they are on there is bound to be similarities.

No matter "how" they are tripping they are on the same drug, of course some people go for more recreational experiences though.

But mushrooms are one of the least recreational Psychs IMO, partly due to their ancient sacred history and profound effects.

I used LSD basically purely as a party drug. It's really the best party drug.

I'm not going to deny that there were some very deep thoughts, epiphanies, or that I learned from the experiences. But I did it purely for recreation. I've never had more fun on any other drug.

Mushrooms can get me to a similar space but usually force me to examine myself to some degree. I can't imagine eating any amount of mushrooms over a half eighth and not having a profound experience.

I don't buy into the spiritual inter-dimensional psychonaut shit personally. I don't want to go that far. What I learn from psychedelics is purely perspective. I'm able to look at myself objectively and learn how to improve myself. Most of it is social stuff. I've always been an introverted and shy person so anything to help me to open up to people and make more connections is huge. That's what I feel psychedelics are really good for.

Umm...first off...I don't "trip" how I want. I trip how I have to trip. Its not my fault the mushroom expects perfection from me. It probably just gave up on you, zappa, because you are so hard-headed.

I love how you believe you do no wrong. I have been an all-around generally good person as well, but that doesn't mean theres not room for improvement. Theres family members I should talk to more, theres habits I should stop...etc. Im sure there is for you too, zap. That's what the mushroom gets on me about.

It just baffles my mind the total arrogance of this guy. He really does think he knows at all

Edit: attention everyone zappa has NO character flaws. Hes the embodiment of Jesus Christ and he is perfection.

I don't think I know everything but I will cop to being arrogant.  Deservedly so.  I am quite accomplished in my life.

Now will you please explain to me why somebody such as myself who rejects all these mumbo jumbo concepts of a spirit or a soul or a god is any more arrogant than somebody who insists they exist in spite of the fact that there is zero evidence for it.

hubris is the pride that goes before the fall.

hurbris implies that your pride is not completely justified and that you are about to make an error.

This conversation has nothing to do with spirits or souls or any of that "mumbo jumbo". We were talking about how we trip..and you were saying that I am inferior to you because my trips tell me what I am doing wrong in my life and makes me feel guilt and inspires me to change. All while you were saying you don't need to change anything and you already have your life figured out. THATS where I disagreed with you. You come off as if you have ZERO character flaws...zero BAD HABITS...etc.

Just because my trips are centered around turning me into a better human being, doesn't mean your trips are on another level. It just means that you have given up on trying to improve yourself. This is probably due to your hard-head and arrogant personality.

and what does me going through a psychosis have to do with ANYTHING? If anything, I believe it gives me an upper-hand over you because I have experienced powers of the mind you will never know. Just because society deemed me crazy at one point, doesn't totally mean I was crazy in a submissive fashion. A wise man once said "crazy is everything. Normal is only a little bit".

and another thing...what does you being "accomplished" have to do with anything?

I am just 24 and already own a condo. No mortgage. What were you doing at age 24?

I didn't say you were inferior.  I said we trip differently.  I am also well aware of your penchant for spiritual mumbo jumbo as evidenced by your idiotic notion that the mushroom wants something.  The mushroom can't want anything.  It doesn't have a brain.  Maybe you are still psychotic if you think a mushroom can have desires.  I'm not the crazy one.

If the mushroom always does the same thing for me, then I like putting it in terms of "the mushroom wanting". You don't need to tell me the mushroom doesn't have a brain, I think I can handle that on my own. You are just speaking the obvious.

And yes you did come off as superior when you said you and your trips don't inspire you to better yourself because you live a near-perfect life. That's exactly acting superior.

Why do you like bringing up my past so much? Ok, I get it, I went to a psych ward. Big whoop. It was also one of the best learning experiences of my entire life, so every time you try to belittle me by calling me crazy, it doesn't really work. So keep trying.

my only point I was trying to make was thus--no matter how good of a person you are, theres always room for improvement. Just because the mushroom is trying to make me be a better person by having me feel the result of my actions, doesn't make my trips less important than yours.

and you can call my visions and beliefs mumbo jumbo all you want...but I bet if you were graced by the presence of an entity that can make it rain, you would have some respect for the spirit-realm.

Bill, I am a firm believer that rigorous language usage helps one grasp reality.  Every time you make some idiotic remark like. "the mushroom is trying" you are weakening your mind.  The mushroom isn't trying to do anything.  There is no god, no spirit and no soul and if you acknowledge those facts that will be the greatest improvement you can make in your life.  Trip for fun.  Or don't trip.  There is no enlightenment to be found.  The epiphanies you think you get are jejune and banal.  Honest self reflection does not require an altered state of consciousness and I would posit that using one for that completely negates the validity of any insight you might gain.
