So, big surprise, no deep philosophical musings?

Don't worry about me, I've got all that I need. And I'm singing my song to the sky

You know how it feels, With the breeze of the sun in your eyes. Not minding that time's passing by

I've got all and more, My smile, just as before. Is all that I carry with me

I talk to myself, I need nobody else. I'm lost and I'm mine, yes I'm free

I do not believe that anyone ever gets any deep insight from altering their consciousness.  When I was a child and tripped for the first time I thought I did but after I came down I realized how utterly juvenile and banal it was.  Sober reflection and reading are the way to go.  Tripping is for fun.

Look for what?  By the way, I don't think you guys are quite appreciating how fucking gone I was.  I couldn't have navel gazed if I wanted to because I couldn't have found it.

I dunno, look around and think, "Is there anything in my great empty skull worth contemplating? Any rock solid biases I need to re-evaluate?" I know I'm  swinging in the dark as you never question yourself, but...just wondering. Psychedelics hardly ever (never?) give me knowledge, they do frequently help me to re-evaluate my long held assumptions.

I am 58 years old and have been reflecting on things for decades and not casually, either.  My opinions are well formed and fully thought out already and come from a deep well of knowledge.  There aint nothing in that molecule that can inform me.

You're never too old to learn something new, or unlearn something old, I would hope.
It's not the molecule, it's your own brain, anyways, coupled with a chance to look at itself through a new lens.

One day, one day, if you ask nicely, we'll trip together and I'll get you there. :smirk:

Any specific fractal formation that was so magnificent that it stuck in your memory?

My two strongest (or best if you want to call them that) trips on mushrooms left an imprint in my mind of a specific one which is why I'm asking.

One was a blue sun with bright orange and green halos. The other was a pink floyd style triangle while looking into my garbage can lol.

Sounds like you had a good time. Cheers.

So, you just lay there in a puddle for a few hours then got up and found your shoe?
Sounds like a real 'Doors of Perception' type experience there, Zappa. You should write a book.

He should write a book so it can be the Bible of the Church of Zappa.

I had no trepidation.  I do not fear psychs and my wife was nowhere near me.

when i trip in someone else's home, i always make sure i try and surprise them by being already tripped face, so i can confound them into letting me gyrate however i wish in their abode, before i inform them of my plans. because it's MY trip, broo. no one else's concern, even the person who's home i'm tripping in.
