Verm layer being taken over
    #21815617 - 06/16/15 05:12 PM (9 years, 7 months ago)

I knocked up some containers brf style with a mix of pan cam/pan cyan. After checking them I noticed that its starting to grow fast over the very layer.

Do pans grow any different then cubes? Are they faster colonizers or are they about the same?

It's fine or it's not. Nothing to do but wait and see.

Shouldn't be a problem as long as the verm is dry. The verm is there to protect the substrate. The mycelium doesn't need protecting.

I'm watching it to see of I run into any bacteria issues. I noticed the myc looks extra white on the parts growing over the verm

I honestly was wondering that too, but honestly I don't have enough experience- but I don't see strands at all from that creamy white- something usual that only happens when the entire sub is taken over. I guess just wait and see.
