Bagpiping and Music related endeavors.
By the way I consider a hobby something not meant to be shared en masse and also something you don't want to or can't really make money off of.
My marble machines therefore are not a hobby.

I really like how you phrased your definition of a hobby.
I hadn't thought about it that way before but you're absolutely right. My 3 favorite hobbies I listed are things I do by myself or with 1-2 friends max , and with no intention of monetary gain.
It's always done purely for enjoyment.

My most recent addition is Swimming. Oh my Lord how I love swimming. I spend 2-4 hours 5-6 days a week at my local pool now. I am quite obese and its very hard for me to find exercise that wont hurt my tendons and joints. With swimming, I'm weightless.
I'm so happy in the water too, it washes away my woes.

Right now my main hobbies are music and kung fu. Gardening is a big one as well, but I've had to put a hold on developing my collection of plants until I'm in a more stable circumstance.

Kung Fu! Thats awesome! One of my best and first friends I got high with (he died by mushroom poisoning) was a crazy Malaysian who was very much into especially Pencak Silat. After we got stoned he taught us kids (we were teens, he about 35) Silat moves, it was really awesome, we had such laughs. Arifin was his name, God Bless his soul.
Anyhoo he got me bitten by the martial arts virus. When I lose enough weight Im going to enroll, I already shopped around local Dojos.

Lots of ice fishing in winter. In summer we fish alot on the Minnesota River for Channel cats and Flatheads. Walleye and Northerns are fun time as well. Trout fishing is also great in the winter. I just got into bowfishing Carp which has proven to be challenging, but very fun! You fish?

Over the winter I built a small quadcopter and some DIY video goggles, and since the warm weather has arrived, I've been making some really cool flying videos.

I've been going at muay Thai pretty hard for about 5 years. I can hang with pro boxers and Olympic prospects now so I'm gearing up for my first muay Thai fight. I've done boxing bouts and a lot of grappling tournaments already but this excites me to no end. I played jiu-jitsu for almost eight years but only trained my ass off for the first three or so. What kind of Kickboxing? What part of the country?

Just noticed you are in LA. You should have some very high level teachers there. Don't settle at your first gym. Keep moving till you find a killer to train ya.

Silat is actually indigenous Southeast Asian martial arts. Kung Fu (in western society) refers to Chinese Martial arts. There are some parallels though.
Also, be careful to not call a Kung Fu school a Dojo. Dojo is japanese; most traditional Kung Fu practitioners refer to the training hall as a Kwoon.
Unfortunately most Kung Fu schools in America are either Wushu, or very watered down forms of a Traditional Chinese Martial Art (TCMA among MA forums).

Chinese Kenpo? This seems a little funny to me as Kenpo is basically a compressed version of the martial art I practice after coming from China to Japan. Most Chinese martial artists hate the Japanese styles; so it seems a little odd that the Chinese would be teaching a Japanese art.

The style is originally Chinese KeMpo when it came to america it went Kenpo
I think? i'm not an expert
I really want to do that shit but idk kenpo is more focused on attacking and GL finding a chinese guy wanting to teach here in EU.
and Kempomasters usually only do stance training the first few years (shit is AWESOME!!!!)
I just want to balance stances on a slackline. See it as a form of meditation

It's even harder to find a Sifu of Chinese origin who still teaches within his tradition where I'm located. Eastern Europe has a fair amount of respectable Kwoons. Especially Russia. I got lucky. My Sifu is from Hong Kong and still prefers speaking in Cantonese. His English is pretty hard to understand at first. Hung Gar Kuen also focuses on stance work in the beginning. Kenpo is essentially Hung Gar Kuen appropriated by the Japanese.
Kempo is just another way to write it. Depends on which form of romanization you're going by.
