This is a fiction. The vast majority of the American populace was never politically literate. They have always been ignorant asses.

funny thing is i bet trump would have almost the same policy's as ron paul. Think about it, he's all buisness right? That means pot becomes legal for more jobs and buisness, public services defunded and become run by corperations instead, which is similar to pauls idea of shutting them down and letting the free market take over.
for serialz i bet trump would do alot of shit that actually makes sense

What's the point of being politically literate anyway? Once you the guy gets elected he talk for a million people or something. It's his agenda, nt yours. You can understand every single promise he makes but you know he's not gonna respect his electoral engagements.
Plus there's the factor of "Which rich white guy should I choose to get a free ride off the government for the next 4 years?". Kinda turns people off from getting to know politics.

zappa- you're probably right about the majority of the public being ignorant. i'm not even sure why i said that
Patlal-there is definitely some truth to what you are saying, in that no politician can actually be all things to all people. And it is true that Presidents come from money. and it is true that they have mostly been white men. i don't think many people begrudge the President his "free ride" though, but hell, what do i know?

Not drunk. My wireless keyboard is fucking with me.
Rich guys get elected. Look at the stats. Most of them white. Look at the stats. They get paid by the government once elected. Look at the facts. They are only required to vote in the House. They can do absolutely nothing else of value and still get paid.

Very many of them are not rich people either. That includes Senators like Marco Rubio. Just shut the fuck up you do not know what you are talking about.

You do not have to have negative net worth to not be considered wealthy and I don't want to break your heart but 5 million dollars at most of their ages as successful people is not impressive by any means.

I would guess that at least half the members of congress are independently wealthy.
