So what are you guys excited about this year? I've honestly been pretty impressed across the board this year.
Battlefront 3 looks to be pretty cool already, though I kind of wish they'd shown at least a LITTLE bit of the hero characters using force powers.
They didn't show any gameplay but the vibe of the new Hitman trailer hits the spot, I can only hope they'll fix the mistakes they made with Absolution with its funky gameplay mechanics while maintaining course in the areas they really succeeded (the graphics and how incredibly well optimized it was). Also that soundtrack is fucking sick
I don't actually own a PS4 but nonetheless I was really impressed by the Uncharted 4 trailer. That driving looks incredible and the world in general looks fantastic. Games like this are what makes me despise platform exclusive games.
Dishonored 2 looks pretty damn cool as well. The first one was one of my all-time favorite stealth games and from what little they've shown it looks like a worthy successor.
Microsofts holographic demo using Minecraft totally blew my fucking mind. Now normally I'm not a Minecraft fan, but this video had me gaping. I had no idea holographic tech was so close to the market, I had thought it was at least 3+ years out but Microsoft has proven me wrong. Seriously, holy shit.
And last but not least, Fallout 4. I expected Fallout 4 to be sick. Enough so that I decided to preorder it as soon as it was announced. The only other game I've done this for since 2011 is The Witcher 3, so I had pretty high expectations for it. That all being said, the demo for FO4 definitely made the hype train leave the station. I was on board as soon as I saw the character creation system (and the fact that you can finally have hair that doesn't make you look like a total dipshit), but the crafting system for both buildings AND weapons totally blew me away. Couldn't help but think they just stomped out a lot of indie building games like Rust upon seeing it. Also, FUCKING JETPACKS. And apparently access to a Vertibird with a minigun. Really liked the animation for getting into the power armor too. Posting the full 30 minute demo below as well as the Xbox1 demo, which had a bit more gameplay footage that wasn't in the initial 30 minute presentation.

I breezed through it the first time.. kind of cheated near the end. Never played new vegas.. I'm trying to figure out if I should play Dishonored or play Fallout 3/New Vegas to completion.

I'd recommend it. The first 45 minutes are kind of slow but it picks up after that once you finally attain your powers.

I bought a ps3 to play last guardian and it never came out played last of us instead
the one game from e3 that I was expecting to be good was mass effect, the first one was o.k. but 2 & 3 were pretty sweet games that I put like 60 hours into at least fulfilling side quest and unlocking stuff in those games is so fun it's nothing like destiny which has you working your ass off doing the same area over and over
they said all the stuff in this trailer is in the game, if they really do have physics like that where you hop around and climb around stuff on the moon that will be awesome, destiny doesn't imitate gravity in anyway...

I need to play Mass Effect again. I played it on xbox 360 but got rid of that system for a $175 trade in credit. I may download it sometimes and play it through since I never even finished the first let alone play the other two.

Unfortunately the DLC are impossible to acquire for a reasonable price because they're sold using bioware points...which have afaik never gone on sale. The DLC for the first one aren't very important but the DLC for 2 and 3 add a shitload of important story content regarding characters + bridging the gap between ME2 and 3.

Precisely . I actually own Mass Effect 2 but I still only play the pirated version I have with the DLC. It's a solid game without it but the series as a whole gains a great deal more coherence and emotional impact with it.

I loved it, but it was slow to start. I defintely can see how if your not TOTALLY in the mood for that type of game you could easily get bored and "meh" and turn it off before it starts to pick up. Once you start getting your powers, especially after the first few, it gets pretty awesomesauce. Its especially rewarding if you are really creative in how to use your powers together. If you watch some videos of some people who are really kick ass at it you can see some omgwtfbbqskills you wouldnt have ever dreamed of trying inside the game, but once you see it done it all makes sense.

The PC Gaming show @ E3, hosted by PCGamer link to their article, which has the various highlights of their show as well as the entire show both in a single twitch feed or broken up in youtube seperates and playlisted.
http://www.pcgamer.com/pc-gaming-show-livestream-twitch-watch/
Has a lot of good press releases and stuff from some of the people at E3, and some announcements, some game demo'ing, etc. Worthy of a watch. Also, its NOTHING BUT PC.

I disagree. I watched the entire thing and was bored the entire time. Literally nothing of note but a few measly seconds of Deus Ex gameplay and Hitman gameplay. Everything else was either a totally rushed presentation or utterly uninteresting. I'm glad that they're finally doing a PC-focused bit at E3 but I really hope they do a better job next year in screening candidates rather than just accepting everyone that wants to present and stuffing them all into a 2-3 hour slot.
