I have done a lot of research today on a few types of active mushrooms, but what I couldn't find is ways to distinguish between G.Junonius and G.Ventricosus. There doesn't seem to be alot of info on the venticosus type. And I was wondering if someone here knows anything about them. :mushroom2:

I found Gymnopilus ventricosus yesterday.  It is a very large west coast species.

Well I happen to live much closer to the east coast. does that lower my chances of finding ventricosus?
