cold shocking to get pins?

Anyone heard about cold shocking to induce pinning? I've had a few jars in fruiting for nearly two weeks and no pins yet, thought about giving the cold shocking technique a try.

Are all conditions the way they should be? Chamber built correctly? Did you consolidate?

cold shocking works on species that actually benefit from one. but you're growing cubes, a sub tropical species, so whoever told you that has shit for brains.

Consolidated for 1 1/2 weeks. Growing invitro so don't have a sgfc or what have you. There's plenty of condensation and I have it on a 12/12 light/no light schedule

Growing invitro is why you don't have pins. The title of this thread should be "proper conditions to get pins?"

So throw me some tips pasty. I have then stored in a clean area that is regulated at 72-75°, the containers have more condensation once I loosened the lids enough to allow Fae. I keep them on a 12/12 light/no light as stated earlier. So am I doing something wrong or is there something I'm missing or just being impatient?

Loosening a lid doesn't sound like FAE to me. FAE and evaporation are big time pinning triggers. I doubt your seeing much of either invitro. They will probably pin eventually cause cubes are weeds but, proper conditions deliver proper results. A proper fruiting chamber works best to get proper conditions.
Could someone dial in an invitro grow and get good results? Sure. Are they going to get that first try? Probably not. Given i haven't even seen a pic I'm working blind but its probably safe to say you're not getting them what they need.

Invitro aka neglect tek. In other words, let them sit and don't worry about them.
If you want fruits sooner try another tek.

Just get some sort of box (plastic tote is best) and cut holes in it and stuff polyfil in those holes. Poly super cheap and can be bought at Walmart. Then put your jars in there and take the lids off so they can breathe. You'd be doing yourself and the mycelium a huge favor. Then you'd get pins.

That's not a bad idea, I'll give it another week, and if I don't see any difference I'll probably try it out.
