So once upon a trip, while I was going at it pretty hard, my friend thinking it would be a fun thing told me that what I had eaten was in fact infinity shrooms  (this was, however, not the case)

Now I've been cultivating a few boxes since, and my most recent one seems to have been blessed by aliens or something of the like, because they have mutated horrendously!
Any ideas of what might have happened and is it safe to eat? I'll probably eat it anyways, unless someone says it's most definitely not safe

Never seen anything like that. My guess is contam, but maybe they are okay... Usually mutants will be some or most fruits looking deformed, but all of your fruits look like they are hurting.

If you want the honest truth...

It looks like you really suck at growing and those haven't gotten nearly enough fresh air or water and you ALSO may have a contam but mostly the first two things.

Also that's a kit isn't it?  Guess that goes hand in hand with the first part.  Are those supposed to be PE?  That twisted knot of flesh is the only semi-healthy looking thing in there and it looks a lot like PE.

Judging from the pics, I would say (in order of importance):
  • lack of water
  • lack of FAE
  • lack of light

Some of the fruits are clearly safe to eat, others would need a more thorough inspection.

Those seem to have lacked proper care...

Oh damn, that's a shame to hear!
Well I'll make sure to take better care of them next time.. Though I've tried to keep them in a room with indirect sunlight and I don't get the same amount from them. Either way, thanks for the heads up guys!

Damn.  Those shrooms appear to be suffering.  I highly suggest clicking the link in my signature (click to learn) and doin some homework.  Or if you are too lazy to do all that then just do this and you will do better.  Cheaper, easy, more weight.
