Cubensis growing from take home cow dung.
    #21807605 - 06/14/15 06:52 PM (8 years, 7 months ago)

Ok, so I know this is by no means the ideal way of going about this...but I decided several weeks ago to grab a few large patties from a cow pasture located in the Southeast..I brought them home and placed them in grass in a shaded area and have been hydrating them over the past several weeks...to my surprise several days ago a number of pins had started forming...and just over te course of a day or two those pins have matured into growing psilocybe cubensis fruit bodies...I think it will be a success...I have read and ai didn't believe this to work...but they are getting large and will probably be harvested tomorrow. Hope I can keep this up...pics coming soon!

No inoculation...I just picked them up in a garbage bag and brought them home. Even more are busting through now. The field where the pie was obtained has been very succesful to me in the past...lots of cubes on many turds...so I figured it might have spores in it...guess it did.
