Second opinion on my first APE grow?
    #21807319 - 06/14/15 05:33 PM (8 years, 7 months ago)

Hey guys! I was on here years ago as Dr. Dubulous, and my first experience with growing involved growing Ps. galindoii on PF tek (by accident, I was told it was B+). Anyway, I started growing some Albino PEs recently and they look pretty good so far, but I was going over the tank with a friend and he said my fruits were looking undernourished?

They were spawned on a WBS/guano mixture (2 tbsp. Indonesian/~10 lb.), colonized in two weeks and transplanted onto a 60/40 verm-coir mix. They've been chilling for a couple weeks, pins like crazy right now, but they just fully popped a couple days ago. Lemme know what you guys think.

Look good to me.  Never heard anyone call shrooms 'undernourished' before.

Sounds like weed-grower speak :rasta:

ape love water and the sub is looking very dry. if they end up aborting you may want to replenish the water post flush.

APE has a similar sized cap and stem which is why its hard to print from what I hear. So it may be seen as lack of FAE but its actually genetics.

I'm on my first APE grow now.

I was thinking more FAE too, but only the 2 bigger pens looks like they may need it.

Those small clusters look Great to me..  I figure maybe those big pins were just growing really fast and making it seem like a lack of FAE.

Jealous. I got 5 plates that I rubbed a swab on 2 days ago. Just killing me waiting for growth.

I can never tell what's up with bags, they always look infected to me.

But yes, more FAE, more water.  No such nutrients to speak of.

That blue honey TEK is crap. I've tried it.

And yes, you need more water in that sub. Guano isn't really what we want, and WBS isn't a bulk sub. Try using hpoo, coir, verm, straw or some combination of those.

And listen to Eats. He kills the APE.

i recommend common sense and figuring it out.

These are the TEKs I use. They're all as cheap and easy as possible, just like your mom.
