They're medicinal, why not make some tea from them?

They are more closely related to the Chinese LingZhi than any other reishi in America so I would not consider them useless.

The Chinese lingzhi is the traditional Asian reishi, its scientific name is Ganoderma lingzhi. Ganoderma lucidum is actually a European species.
Ganoderma curtisii forms a single clade along with the Asian species when a phylogenetic tree is built from ITS DNA. Indicating the two are very closely related.

The red branch includes G.curtisii and G.lingzhi, some of them are labeled G.lucidum but they were incorrectly IDed and I kept the labeled names when I built the tree. The blue at the bottom is true G.lucidum.
G.lingzhi is the original reishi, the one that is widely cultivated in China. It has been shown to contain high levels of medicinal compounds. With G.curtisii being so close it is reasonable to assume that it too may be decent.
