Woodworkers Lung

So - I am working in a high dust environment with wood. So far it's been red cedar, fir and now yellow cedar. Depending on the task i would sometimes wear a dust mask and sometimes not depending on my perceived risk of exposure.
Anyways - since working with the yellow cedar i've had a tight/phlegmy chest and am constantly clearing my throat (often unsuccessfully). I've started wearing a dust mask the past couple days and was feeling better yesterday. However, today I went for a hard/fast/long bike ride which pushed my cardio a bit and now my chest feels the same as it did when I first realized i was having symptoms.
I realize cedar (more so than most other woods) is well known for causing relatively severe allergies in many people. I am not sure if I should be concerned that my symptoms are persisting or if they'll clear up over time.
Does anyone have experience with this?

I collect snakes and have over twenty. Everyone knows that cedar is toxic for reptiles due to the high oil contents in the wood. Gives them respitory infections almost immediately. I can't say its the same for humans but in alot of ways we are no where near as strong as most reptiles.

Contemplating the whole "chosen people" thing with just a flaming stealth banana split the sky like one would hope but never really expect to see in a place like this. Cutting right angle donuts on a dime and stopping right at my Birkenstocks, and me yelping... Holy fucking shit!

Yes - it is the same in humans. Although from my understanding it usually acts as an "irritant" and not a lung infection...
I wonder how I determine what category I am in.

I do not know. Google it maybe. See a doctor.

I just realized it might be side effects from a generic nasonex nasal spray I was recently prescribed for seasonal allergies!
The side effects that I am feeling include:
-Fatigue -Chest congestion/coughing -Muscle soreness
Although the symptoms are vague and can 100% be explained by my lifestyle, they also fit perfectly with the side effects of the nasal spray. I am going to try going off it tomorrow and see what happens.
Although i wear a mask now - there are are at least 8 other people who are exposed to the same levels of exposure as I am, only one who is experiencing any chest congestion. Perhaps it's a combination.
Nasty stuff - will see what happens tomorrow or otherwise make a Dr.'s appointment.

Yeah go off it for a few days see if it clears. If not to the Drs.

Yeah man, get the proper respiratory protection for prolonged exposure. I can't make a specific recommendation as I haven't worked in the field for quite a while, but I was a finish carpenter and cabinet installer for most of my adult life. To which a negative reaction to such work conditions and not protecting myself enough ended. Cedar and redwood make extremely fine particles along with erratent oils contained within the dust. A simple disposable dust mask won't do the job day in, day out..
