How's my mono sub looking? ***Update with Fruits on Separate Tub***
    #21806704 - 06/14/15 02:35 PM (8 years, 7 months ago)

Update 7/2

So my first tub came out nicely but the spores created a mess. I plan to bury this one with some cooked coir on top. It's especially humid and raining recently so I figure now is the best time. Net weight of dry mush is 2 oz. I need some desiccant to take it all out though, hopefully it hasn't oxidized too much.

Another tub(Albino A+) that I had colonizing started fruiting as well but the fruits are MUCH larger.

Heavy Bruising

So it looks like I have two strains in here or mutant strain that degenerated? The odd tidbit is that they all don't have any spores. The colored cap looks like the strain from my other tub but this one has the same no sporulation like the Albinos.

Fan blowing away from monotub and there is a light on 12/12. Put in fruiting 4 days ago, no mists/fans, it's been shelled up.

I see a bit of fuzzy feet going on, and there is not much evaporation going on aside from the middle sub area towards one of the top 2 poly holes, which is right by the fan. Do I need to loosen the poly holes? The bottom ones are very stuffed.

Any suggestions to make? Any input is appreciated, thank you.

looks good to me. I dont see any pins that can have the fuzzy feet you talk of.

I'd untape the liner from the tub walls, you want it clinging to the sub not the walls!

I will do it next week when I return, I've already misted/fanned and don't want to dry up the sub anymore. I do agree the liner is too high, there is water pooled up on the opposite sides of the sub that may prove to be contamination issues if unaddressed.

Thanks spacechild and bart.

I see spores on the cap of the big mushroom

The different fruits do represent different genetics. remember in ms, all the strains come together to produce a fruit, rather than one particular strain gaining an advantage an fruiting. if the latter happened, we would get mono-cultures simply by cloning fruits, which is not the case. is ms, so its really just a genetic lottery.
