Hi guys. Discovered this place ages ago when I thought about going out hunting, forgot about it and been lurking and learning a bit over the last couple weeks. Went out today and this is what I found.
Habitat: Pine/eucalyptus forest
Stem: White/brown. White mainly at top and staying white/bruising blue while brown colour increasing elsewhere after picked
Bruising: All appear to bruise blue. Some with blue on top of caps before picked
Waiting to see if I can get a print.

Terrain shots:

Two more photos, both a little different from the others. This one was the only one with the right around the stem about 1cm below the cap.

And this one's cap was much thinner and flatter than all the rest.

Only one or two of these were sort of fresh looking when I found them in the ground. Below is one I didn’t bother taking and another with a dry cap which I picked.

If they are actives, whats the rule when they’re in this general condition? Worth it?

They're all Psilocybe subaeruginosa. They aren't in too bad condition.

Thanks, TimmiT.
Can I ask you all what the dark ring around the top of the stem in the 7th photo is? Does it have a name? What causes it and why aren't they on each mushroom if they're all the same species? I'm sure I read somewhere here that this ring was a way to id Psilocybes. Is that right or are they specific to subs?

The dark rings are the remnants of a partial veil. When the mushrooms are young their gills are covered in a white cob-web like veil (known as a cortina). As the cap expands the veil breaks and leaves remnants on the stem. Spores falling from the gills make it that purple colour.
