What up kneegrows Every spring I tell you fellows Not to sing When you welcome summer Cause it's a bummer When the ol trich Steals away your dick
So typically when i got trich before pinning, i tossed the tubs. I tried saving some here and there. But generally it wasn't worth it. But when you throw away 15 tubs in a few days, you have to save a few. I don't grow actives anymore, but i found these pics. Trich was removed after it sprulated and before any pins formed
The trick to cutting out trick is to get it all!! I used a few gallon size ziploc bags inside out as a makeshift glove to scoop it up. The bag is nce because you can immediately seal it up. A few bags are that necessary. Under the trich spores, deep in the substrate, it will be wetter and darker. That's all trich infestation. Dig it all out until the sub looks clean. You'll see what I'm talking about. Good luck guys.

I just fed my one an only PE tub to the trich monsters...
I had my first flush and it was good. I was waiting and waiting for the second coming - not trich any where but you know... it got damn hot here (for here). It is supposed to be in the high 70s and low 80s for the next week - so I said
"Dicks, I is gonna set you free"
So I took that tub and made a nice shallow hole in my lawn trimmings in the back yard and laid my substrate gently down then covered it over with old grass clippings and then watered the whole thing down. My guess is a few of those dicks just might like the change of scenery and pop up in spite of all the trich that must be in that pile of composting grass clippings...

I've got substrates from April that still wont contaminate. I haven't seen the mean green in a while, you think straw and coir are just less susceptible? I've got all of my windows open for weeks now too. And I fruit open/semi-open air.
Avoidance is always best never successfully cut trich out but I only tried a few times maybe I need more trich cut practice, or I was just new back then.

You can search old posts you know. Quote and threads from 5 years ago had much different lingo on average. I've been around long enough to read lots of threads.

I woke up to this on my ghetto tub. Cut that shit out. I'm tossing this tub after I pull the first flush, but I'm getting this first flush dammit!

I've had some great second, and third, flushes, after trych. Especially if caught before it's green. I get it out of my fruiting room ASAP, cover the spot right away, with a peroxided paper towel, and cut out an oversized square of sub. I usually wipe the lid, and sides, after I've cleaned up from removing the bad spot. Lots of sub left to fruit, especially as I exclusively use huge 105 quart Sterilite tubs...

what like 2013?

these jokes keep getting better.
ive had spots of trich eliminated and flushed the tubs up to 5 flushes. if you catch the trich before it gets a foothold its easy to manage. when it gets big enough it may be a lost cause.
another pointer is that if you intend to flush it out on the 2nd flush. ill move the entire sub to a new liner and new tub after its been cleaned. i even dunk the subs after the trich has been eliminated.
but when you do the surgery. act like your doing still air box work. do it in an area far away from the grow room.

Wow... Your not bullshitting Azur.
I just inoculated some oat jars with agar wedges and 4 days later I have sporulated trich already. Can't fucking believe how fast it showed up...
As a matter of fact I am considering doing some PF cakes to get some fruits and new prints....lol.
