Triple stock graft attempt

I should probably wait to post this after I find out whether or not it has taken, but I'm rather bored this evening. For shits and grins I grafted a bridgesii seedling to three pereskiopsis. The scion's vascular ring was a little smaller than I had anticipated, so I'm skeptical as to whether all three will make a connection. Should be interesting to find out. I'll update this thread even if it fails. Have a good day!

Even the tiniest connection provides extra growth so assuming the stock or scion doesn't 'shrink' when callousing it should join. If you can provide more root space the growth will be even greater. Good luck

Not really any new growth, but it's looking like a success.

Nice graft. In prep for this, did you have to transplant all the peres right next to each other like this, or did you already have some growing right next to each other?

I took three similar sized cuttings from actively growing plants. I propagated them as close together as possible then bound them with hemp to make them as snug as possible. After that I let them grow together for about a month before I did the graft. The hardest part is tying them together tight and trying not to lose too many leaves while at the same time getting glochids stabbing into your fingers.
