ID Request New Jersey
    #21803892 - 06/13/15 09:19 PM (8 years, 7 months ago)

Habitat:
Grassy area at the base of a tree. There were small mulch piles in the surrounding area. All of them were found in a 6x6 foot area under the tree.

Gills:
Off White - brown in color.

Stem:
stems were very thin as seen in the pictures. Too small for me to estimate a width. Length was about 2-3 inches. These are some of the first mushrooms I've seen this year so they could still be young. no bruising although they range from white to light brown

Cap:
Smaller than the diameter of a U.S. Quarter. Some were even smaller than a dime

Spore print color:
Spore print has yet to be completed but will upload pictures when it is. I've had friends find very similar ones a week ago and the print was black

Bruising:
No bruising. Some stems have more brown than others

Other information:
I am thinking if these are any good, they would be Panaeolus cinctulus. Any idea what these could be. Thanks

Nah, Inocybe is a huge genus of mushrooms that is divided into a bunch of smaller groups and they are really hard to tell apart with or without microscopy. A lot are very toxic.
