Bacterial contam right? wait and see if myc can fight it off?
It won't fight it off... pitch it. When you smell it you will understand why.
If you're a real sore loser maybe you could try cleaning off the bad parts the best you can and spawn it to a tray? I dunno though...
Take those conatminated jars and bury them outside with a bunch of wet straw and compost. They may very well produce some good fruits that way.
I threw 3 partially contaminated cakes into the middle of my grass clipping and food scrap compost pile. 3 weeks later I had 4 odd looking cubensis(only totaling 27g wet) growing out of the side of the pile... In the Michigan summer. I got lucky I think, I doubt it works out well in Michigan too much, but if the temps are good and humidity right you can still get at least something from the contam jars with luck. It was the best advice anyone could have given me about fucked up jars/cakes.
Also yes, 5 days is very short to wait for multispore innoc as was already stated. My temps were too cool when I initially injectd spores in my jars and I didn't see anything for 11days. Once that happened and they made it to 30% I shook and they were fully colonized 5 days later. Be patient and everything will work out if your sterile technique is on point and your temps/humidity is on point. Follow the proven TEKs to a T and don't hesitate to ask some of the very exp. members on here. They have always answered my PMs and been very helpful if I've asked nice.
Good luck!

They have had what they love most taken from them, be it freedom, love, money, or anything for that matter. Looking good so far friend. I knocked up 12 jars with GT spores on the second. One jar still isn't growing anything and I found a contam in one last night. Cant wait to see how these turn out for you.
 Pic of my contam:(

Are your FAE holes taped shut? Now would be the time to remove the tape and stuff them with polyfil.

His tub is colonizing right now..
They need to be tapped. Once he puts it into fruiting, then the tape is removed and replaced with polyfill.

Looks colonized to me ubertrooper. Looks like you have pins forming already. Were you planning on casing or initiation fruiting as is? Healthy mycelium.

Fruiting as is, no casing layer, from what i've read casing layers generally cause contams.

Casing layers cause better pinsets. They do not cause contams. Dirty spawn and poor pasteurization of peat based casing layers cause contams.

Better pinsets pasty, but more yeild?
Perhaps not the place to ask, but I am curious on your thoughts.
I remember Frank saying he doesn't consolidate because it gives more pins, but smaller fruits. So yield is about equal, but takes more time to harvest, etc.
Also do you ever consolidate?

I find yields to be a bit better yes but that might just be me. I often consolidate simply because i am out of space or lazy. Consolidation IME leads to really good first flushes at the expense of later ones. But I usually only go for two anyways.

I lost 5 tubs from pasteurizing peat.
I still have half a bag, but fuck that shit.. I am never using peat again.
Pasty is right, dirty spawn and peat are a bad mix.

I just use the same cvg that was in my bucket. And add it when inducing fruiting. Some cultures eat right through it, others respond positively. If I know the culture will eat it I usually wait a day or four of fruiting until the mycelium has made the switch or if I see knots before that.
