How do you guys dry your shrooms with desiccant?

I went to the hardware store and bought some damp-rid but it has all these warnings on it, about not getting it in your eye on or on your skin. It sounds very poisonous. What is the safest method for using it? I consulted the growing info but could not find much.

Get a weather resistant ziploc container that clips and seals so that the air inside is sealed. What you should do is get something called the "damprid disposable moisture absorber." It's basically a small bucket form with damped on the top. What it does is absorb moisture in the air and drains the moisture it absorbs into the bottom bucket part.
You will also need a small rack of some kind to put inside this box, to keep the mushiness off the ground. Put the moisture absorber, rack, and mushiness on the rack inside the box. Seal it, come back a couple days and they will be cracker dry.
Literally, cracker dry. As for long term storage, you should search other people suggestions and see what they have to say. You should use a glass sealed container with a bag of desiccant. (Little one that comes inside of wine boxes, shoe boxes, etc. If it's really small, maybe add two.
If you don't want to get the disposable moisture absorber made my damped, you just have to have the damped powder in some kind of mesh thing, above a container to capture the absorbed water. God luck brother/sister!

30-40$ food dehydrator with a adjustable thermostat is the best way imo. I put it on the lowest setting for about 12hrs then crank in up on the highest setting for a few hrs and my shrooms are cracker dry. Then I just store them in mason jars.

I just use a little cooler that I fill 1/3 with desiccant cat litter you can find at Walmart then fasten a mesh screen (like the screen on a screen door) about inch and a half above desiccant and throw shrooms on screen and shut cooler for a day or 2 cracker dry everytime

Depends on how much mushrooms your drying... grab a tote. Those damp rid boxes are used for big shit like boat hulls so you can use a pretty decent size box and it still be effective...

I just fill up a tall Tupperware container with about a few inches, air dry my shrooms for a day or 2 and throw them in a glass pint jar then place the jar on top of the desiccant and close the lid. Drys them pretty much overnight. I've had desiccant dry pounds of oysters in only a few days, it's very very absorbent.

Yeah you can use a cooler... and the second flush will come in before you know it... I just harvested my 2nd flush it was ten days after harvesting my first...that seems about average for me.
