Your right I don't. Biker gang of friendly raptors was a stupid addition. In the original they were fucking savages and now they are part of an elite squad. stupid.

Exactly. Dinosaurs might not be fiction, but dinosaurs in a theme park is like text book fiction.

The thing i liked too that this movie emphasized, was  that these were never dinosaurs, in the book john hammond is portrayed as more of a frankensteinesque, mad scientist. In the orig jp, the just threw frog dna in wherever they needed. I know science about feathered raptors is more recent than the first movie, but it could be argued thats why the raptors look so different than what they say they should now.

This movie made ingen(i think they were in charge of the park, although they made it seem like someone else was in charge and ingen barged in with the military guy so idk) seem like the frankensteinesque madmen, the original movies were missing.

well they grew up in different conditions

clearly they didnt even TRY to domesicate the other ones. then the park fell and they started breeding and were bred in the wild

obviously wild and domesticated raptors will behave differently

Yeah, that's basically how you domesticate any animals, thinking you couldn't domesticate a raptor just because it's a raptor is ignorant.

Dog's were wild as fuck like wolves before we domesticated them.

yeah i liked how they explained that and made sense of it

def made Ingen seem like the bad guys, not a terribly different role than they had in JP2. Ingen are just assholes i guess lol

I just saw it. Kinda disappointed.

The movie was awesome and entertaining but it lacked substance.

Plot:

1) everything is well
2) Monster breaks loose
3) Kids get lost
4) Hero saves the day

It's like junk food. Lots of calories but no nutrients.

Plus wasn't it the exact same plot than the first Jurassic Park? It was suppose to be a sequel, not a remake.

Either way, given the action and entertainment value, it's a 8/10 for me. I do suggest watching it too. In theatre. In 3D.

This thread isn't enough for bassfreak.  He's posting his reviews of Jurassic World in the SLOTS thread.  Chris Pratt is a sexy lady to bassfreak.  Like any true fanboy, he told me he's going to ComiCon dressed as an albino hybrid T Rex.  Paying 10$ to change his name to dinofreak.

Don't pretend lile when you were a kid you never put army men on top of a raptor toy.

This movie is very much a kids movie, and as an adult, it did an awesome job of.making me feel like a kid again.

Could the sfx have been better? Sure

Could the plot have been better? Sure

Could they have had better actors?sure(but chris pratt is the shit, I'd say he's the closest thing this generation has to harrison ford)

But all anybody payed to go see was a fucking t rex chase people down, tear shit up, and all the crazy shit.that comes with it. Honestly everything about that movie made me think of being a kid that broke into the toybox, except you got.to see it acted out.

Fucking brilliant.

Oh and i watched a youtube vid, that showed all the eatster eggs you might like bassfreak.

My favorite one was when the soldiers are in the jungle, a drop of blood lands on his arm and rolls off one way, and a second one falls on his arm and rolls off the other. Chaos theory anyone?

I just got back from watching it was by no means bad but I wasn't that impressed.

Really liked that they had a lot of references to the original Jurassic Park and that it was basically a continuation of it, but man, the characters were beyond lame.

I've always liked Chris Pratt as an actor in Parks & Rec but he's just too goofy to play the macho, hero Protagonist. All the suspenseful lines he recited just don't match his acting style and made it seem cheesy.

The antagonists were even worse. A GMO dinosaur that has cuttlefish genetics and a fat dude that wants to use Velociraptors in the army? Really?

Let's move on to the pros so I don't get buttraped by you guys that loved the movie.
I thought it was very cool that they expanded on the whole aspect of the raptors being highly intelligent & how they have a family hierarchy. (I think it was JP3 where the whole movie was based around that). I did enjoy Pratt training them and the whole plot line of him being the Alpha. The whole movie kind of revolved around that so that did make it enjoyable.

The CGI was amazing as should be expected and the action scenes were really breathtaking because of it.

That's my take on it. I also saw San Andreas right afterwards and if you like natural disaster thrillers, it's definitely worth checking out.
