It looks like there's some brown in the spores but I think it's just moisture from the mushroom drying up

Yea nice mushrooms, but I would wait on a T. I. before trying any of them. Good luck out there hunting, and maybe they are active.
Peace

Yeah I will definitely wait for a TI to tell me what's up, going to go hit the cow pastures tomorrow! It's such a change coming from California.. I have only been here for a couple days and it has rained four times!

In the first picture, is that bluing in the stem butt? Bottom right one, on the mycellium. or is it a flash? I found some of the same ones..jet black print, add def bluing on mycellium at base of stipe.
Thx, ganjaburger

Not a TI but those are for sure an active Panaeolus. The bluing on the butt is evident, as said above

Awesome! Yeah there was a little blue bruising on one of them that came up with a bit of the mycelium. I ended up just tossing these but saved two prints to bring back to the home base. Anyone have a microscope that would want to do some looking into these?

I'm from Southern California and these look exactly like the Pan Subbs/Olivs I've been collecting. The prints look black to me, try leaving them for longer, I left some caps for like 4hrs and they looked like the pics you posted and then put them back down for another 4 or so and they were black as fuck. Also try wetting the caps slightly to induce spore releasing. Not certain if they are subbs or olivs without microscopy but both are about the same potency so it doesn't matter a whole lot, it would still be cool to know.
I ate about 1g of my shrooms and got normal microdose effects, worst case, they're Pan Foes and eating them will make you throw up or give you the shits.

The prints are definitely jet black and the blue bruising is there.

I would love to try to find more of these but I found them on vacation to Louisiana, I'm going to try and throw the spores that I saved on agar and clean them up! They showed the usual signs of pans but the stem threw me off cause it was smaller. But I have read that the once that are growing in grass and quite a bit more fragile

Idk, they vary pretty wildly. Most of the ones I found on grass were pretty thin but occasionally I find ones like the monster in the pic...

I have a whole preserved collection (about 20 small/medium specimens) a couple of the stems still has the mycellium with bluing apparent. And spore prints. No scope tho

A microscope is really only necessary for differentiating between Olivaceus and Cinctulus, a spore print is sufficient to determine psychoactivity. There are about 30-40+ shrooms in that jar in my pic all found within a few hours on grass.
