Can you better define semi long term? 6 months? 1 year? or more?

See what Bodhisatta says. But I put my culture to slant if im holding onto it that long, and I wrap my slant caps with parafilm. I might hold a plate in the fridge for a couple months while Im waiting for it to fruit or Im real busy, after that Ill switch it to a fresh blank plate if Im not ready to slant.

Im the same way I use cling wrap mostly until its time to store proper.

I like to keep my plates and slants in those soft lunch box things too it keeps the temp more stable and seperates them from food and whatnot. Although these days I use a dedicated mini fride.. like youd see in a dorm room at a colledge.

Thank you for the info. Now I can begin to assemble my opening shot. Spore cultures coming, straw cut, working on a 55 Gal pasteurizer. Got my indoor green house set setup, my bags too. SAB done, grow room too. Petri dishes and Potato Agar, and test tubes for slants. Dang it, I forget something????

I have a lot of GRASS in the back yard, but I don't think you can buy a big fat bag anymore, this isn't the '60s or the '70s anymore Toto.:smirk::wink:
I do go visit my nephew on the Southern Oregon coast each summer, that's a real buzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
