are these subaeruginosa?
    #21796835 - 06/12/15 10:39 AM (8 years, 7 months ago)

here are some mushrooms i found which were basically drying in their spot before i picked them, i think they may be subs, i kinda accidently pulled the mycelium out with one, so i lodged it back, is that the right thing to do? i didnt have a knife, i wasnt actually on a hunt just came by them.

any advice is appreciated

Habitat: Wood - Found in deciduous woods, growing straight from a some fallen branches

Gills: The gills are dark, kinda hard to make out, ive got one sitting for spores so will update later

Stem: thin, maybe only 4mm thick,

Cap: Brown to gray, smooth, not hygrophanous, 3-6 inches across.

Spore print color: trying to obtain one

Bruising: shows what looks like blueing, (ive only seen it dry, but it has a blue/green tinge in some places especially the smaller ones

Location: inner west sydney, near a creek

im still a noob, been hunting for almost 2 years now but this would be my (unpexpected) first find.

i apologise for the image quality, if its too difficult to see i will take them again under better lighting

Yea that's fine. Or you can stick it in some woodchips somewhere else and make a new patch.
