So my mum died yesterday from a long illness, it's fallen to me to find 2 songs fitting for the service. I already found this but i need a second. Any help appreciated ?

Sorry for your loss man.

I chose to play some sad ass Johnny cash at my grandpas funeral. Was fitting to him though.

Sorry for your loss ....my dad just passed from cancer and I feel for you....Stuff just doesn't seem right without him there....Sort of "Out of Balance". I played "Leader of the Band "by Dan Fogleberg...but that song is about his dad.

I can tell you that she is in a good place...here is a post I wrote describing some pretty spiritual things that happened when he passed.....hope it helps.

Sorry to hear that... Do you know what sort of music your mum liked? There might be something there that's fitting?

Never having met your mother, it is difficult to pick something.. but this is what popped into my head:

My favorite violinists for this piece are Arthur Grumiaux (in the video) or Jascha Heifetz.

Alternatively, if you're looking for something a little more somber but equally dignified:

:sun: All the best.

She liked the Shadows but it kinda clashes with the classical stuff. She died peacefully after a 17 year battle with emphysema. It looks like her heart just stopped and she fell sleep. No struggling at all. She had an emergency button around her neck which was never pressed. She just looked like she was asleep, sat on her commode. Must have gone late at night.

69 years old. Thank you for my life Christine.

Thanks for the replies.

Man play a song that would've made her happy not sad, I'd think she probably would have appreciated that more And sory for your loss.

Condolences Mike. Hope for the best.

This probably doesn't fit, but it's a song I'd like played at my funeral service thing (not really a "funeral" since I want a green burial);

--------------------

Ooo...U E I O Aaa...U E I Aaa..A E I O Uuuuu...

Sorry to hear.

I have given my loved ones specific instructions to not play sad sappy funeral music when I pass. I prefer the music that I actually enjoy. Hell, turn on the local classic rock station for all I care. I just don't want that tear jerker depressing death music.
