Mold on old mushrooms
    #21795967 - 06/12/15 03:43 AM (8 years, 7 months ago)

I live in New Zealand. Last week I found and picked about 25 grams fresh worth of p. Cubensis. I'm not an expert on the different types, but I have found and eaten these before and they look exactly like the pictures online.
I am in a university hall, and the only fridge I could use was the communal one, which I obviously couldn't put magic mushrooms in. So I got 2 freeze block things people use for chilly bins and made a makeshift fridge in my room with a box and taking the ice blocks back and forth from the freezer to the box each day.
I had exams so was planning to take them tomorrow(7 days after picking) but I don't think the box was cold enough, as they seem quite mouldy.
-The mould is stringy and kind of looks like spider webs, it only seems to be on the bottoms of the stems where the dirt was.
- The caps have lost all colour. They are all brown and dry and broken up.
- There is no more visible blue color on the caps or stems.
Will I get sick if I just cut off the mould and eat them? Or is there a way to get rid of the mould? ALso would the psylocybin have degraded?

Really don't want to find myself vomiting mid trip, any advice welcome thanks.
