There isn't a model number on the housing or an marks at all.
The only other number is on what I believe is the capacitor: 97F9003

The blower is a 4 speed. So that should make things possible. FOAF wants to go for it. Has anyone ordered a filter from earths tongue or has a suggestion for the filter?

Dunno what to tell you man. You're going about this the wrong way, its like buying a big boat without knowing or not if your little truck can tow it. It may or you may have to buy a bigger truck.

60-100 feet per minute is the target airspeed for laminar flow. So if you picked up a 2'x2' astrocel off ebay for $120 you would need 240-400 CFM at ~1 SP. Going off the specs for the 1/4 hp similarly designed furnace blowers I'd say you're pushing more than enough air, probably enough for two 2x2" filters on your highest speed to be honest. You can pick up an anemometer for less than $20 and dial in the fpm using the four speeds on the blower. Good luck!

bummer. you really can't choose a filter without knowing the fan output under static pressure. most fans come with a chart that gives you cfm values for different static pressure ratings. also, you can't just put a fan speed regulator on any old fan. you'll create a huge fire hazard and possibly burn out your motor unless it was built as a variable speed fan.

Thanks grower, I will look into those filters.
Mad, I thinks more like a really big truck with a medium sized boat. I'll keep trying to figure out the cfms. Right now I am more interested in the filter as the blowers already around.
