I am getting some quart jars ready to inoculate and I forgot to cover the lids with aluminum foil before I pressure cooked them. Will they be ok or should I start over? Thanks for any insight.

How do the grains look? If there is pooling water or clumping you'll have to start over.

Synthetic Filter disks covering a 1/4 inch hole. Hopefully they will be fine they come out in 15 minutes and I'll take a look if there is pooling water or clumping. Thanks

I don't think you even have to cover synthetic discs. I do mine, but I was told I'm wasting my time and tin foil.

I use a sheet that's like flattened poly fill. Not sure what it's called, I buy it from the fabric store by the yard then cut my own disks.

As long as there is not water pooling in the bottom they should be okay.
Be sure to give them all a good shake a few times while the grains are still hot.
This will help redistribute any overly wet grains near the bottoms. I do this anyways even with ones I had covered....

No it's definately not cellulose, cellulose is not synthetic. The OP said synthetic filter disk. Mine are literally rolled out Polly fill. I just cut them to size.
