I think this may belong somewhere else but i'll out it here since it seems to me the best place [intoxicated].

i'm watching Living Wild on the NG chanel where they are in south america. in the beginning of the show they made reference to the modern cultural use of ayahuasca[sp?]. this pleases me much but i am dissapointed that they didn't refer to it other than calling it "drinking a beverage of mind altering substances" or some such. they did show then spitting it out in a projectile vommiting fashion that made it look ritualistic. this is some kind of purification ritual isn't it?
anyway, i'm wondering if anyone else has seen good documentaries with referencees to [or about] cultural use of psychoactives. i would like to see some others even if i have to buy the tapes.

I've seen on similar shows of indians in brazil blowing yopo snuffs and dropping some solanaceous plant in their eye for hunting, it burns like a bitch supposedly, but it helps them see better they say.

Why can't my cable network have NG available instead of 100+ pointless chanels? Just shows how backward some of society is.

i wouldn't recommend it. all centepedes are highly toxic, at least to humans. they do not have toxic bites, but exude, among many other things, signifigant concentrations of hydrogen cyanides in thier venom.

it was a joke, concrete! =)
but anyways, one of these days i've seen one of the fat ones rolling around the patio and i wondered... would this fucker be good?
then i tickled it down the wall, it has rolled itself into a spiral.
it was a spiral exacly liike the one of a slug shell, geometrically perfect and i remembered such patterns are related to the 'supernatural' in ancient cultures... not that centipodes can get humans high (actually it would be fun to see teens holding those fuckers in their cheecks) but the spiral IS there...

Had to be a jaguar since Tigers are from Asia and Siberian and indonesian and not from South America.

You should get the national Geo Termites tape and watch the two time lapse photos of the termites growing edible shrooms for food intheir mounds.
