any idea what this rock/fossil may be?

Found this by a creek the other day...



Kind of looks like a huge tooth, but I don't think that's what it is.

I think it is some kind of fossil as it appears to take the shape of something very specific.
I just don't have a clue what it might be.

Any guesses?

Damn that does look like a tooth.  It's definatly something so hold on to it.  Are you around any type of institute/museums that could ID it?  I guess you could e-mail one.  I'd go snooping for more if you can get back to where you found that one.
