Good Cheap Hygrometer for ~30-50% Relative Humidity

I'm going to be storing some important documents and am going a bit overboard trying to make sure they are in a suitable environment.
I would like a hygrometer that is reasonably accurate (+/- 5% ideally) at around 30% to 50% relative humidity.
I would also like it cheap.
I recall people saying the common hygrometers suck at the high end of the RH spectrum, does anyone know how good cheap digital or analogue hygrometers are for the range I'm talking about? Anything I should look for?

The accuracy you mention is probably a bit too.much to ask; the common sensor components are typically +/-10%, but that shouldn't be a prblem. Btw, an older analog meter that you calibrate yourself is probably just as good. But otherwise, any digital meter will do, as they virtually all rely on the same actual sensor.

Ok, well I'll take what I can get, 10% should be fine. I just figured the errors are likely from nonlinear responses that are minimized if kept close to the calibration point, and so I could demand a bit better. It appears MgCl hexahydrate will allow you to calibrate to 33%, so I'm hoping I can get a decent result since that's around what I want my RH to be. (Should have been mentioned in OP)
I'm going to be conditioning silica gel and just want to keep an eye on the RH values in a sealed container.
I like the aesthetics of the analog meters, so if there's not a big diff I'd just go with one of those.
But you think a cheap calibrateable digital hygrometer of the kind had on eBay from China would be fine as well?
How are things with you Koraks?

Yeah, I think those should be fine. Nonlinearity towards the ends of the range will likely be worse indeed, and it seems that for your purpose a ballpark measurement will do just fine anyway, so I'd actually even be happy to go with one that isn't necessarily calibrated.
Thanks for asking! Quite fine actually, doing some photography, some educational work, basically enjoying a life relatively free of imposed structure and commitments. And enjoying the company and explorativeness of my girlfriend as well, she's a keeper this one
